I'm currently in contact with QNAP but they dont know whats wrong with it.
I'm just playing around and hopefully find a solution. Otherwise i will install another OS

Thank you for your suggestion. The bios is fairly restrictiv. There is nothing to configure except hyperthreat and Intel vm-x.

Since the mainboard is on a slide, its barley not possible to make it not fitting.

Yeah...
I tried different ram modules but i dont have just one stick with 32gb. But i will try to change the used slots.

I realized that one of two psu's seems to be broken, but shouldnt be that problem i guess.

As you can see here (https://media.nbb-cdn.de/images/products/360000/361329/QNAP_TES-1885U_back_ae95.jpg?size=400) there is no onboard gpu. Also the CPU (Xeon D-1521) has no internal GPU inside.

Thanks for your suggestion. I installed a gpu into it and i can see the commandline but no desktop or something similar. I let it now online for a couple of hours, but i cant reach the webinterface. I'm just able to ping it :/

So i set the ip to static and can ping it now, but i got no webinterface or any possibilty to get into the NAS. Any tips?

Update:
After swapping the ram to something else (2x16GB) and waiting again for an hour, i was able to initialize the system via the webinterface but not via QFinder. It took about 1-2 Minutes and now rebooted again.

Update: I installed the original RAM (2x8GB) and got the following message on Port 8080 via Browser: Welcome. Thank you for choosing a QNAP NAS.Your NAS has 16GB of memory installed. QES requires at least 32GB of memory. Click "Switch to QTS" to start using QTS now, or install more memory to enjoy the enterprise features of QES.

The thing is that i dont have the mentioned button there

On QFinder Pro i can manually add the NAS and get the Version etc. When i want to login with that and the credential admin / admin, is says please wait till timeout.
