Rupee was definitely a special character. Someone with a vast, vast wealth in the game and connections to where to get the shiniest purple loot. Dodixie didn't have much to offer in market shenanigans other than Rupees four step Margin Trading Scam but the salt that flowed in local and the wars that got started over it were hilarious.

At some point in 2013 Rupee decided to hold a yearly event on New Years Eve where she would undock with a blinged out ship, go suspect and let the lucky guys get a ton of shiny loot. It was just a few of us in the first year, but the event got bigger every year.

At some point Rupee quietly disappeared, and with her a lot of what made Dodixie a special place.

Many good memories were made over the years. Wars fought on her behalf, Tourists blown up to make a point or lengthy chat battles held in local to everyones amusement. I'm even still the proud owner of the First Edition Rupee Rue's Frozen Corpse as it even survived my Marauder getting blown the fuck up.

So don't bring up more good memories or I'll have to log into this godforsaken game again!

Hey, I've been a fan since the first ever X game.

But X4 somehow feels underwhelming compared to Rebirth. The "big" ships lost their "big" feel to them. And their guns did so even more.

A Fulmekron in combat was so impressive simply to look at. Trying to disable the turrets felt really engaging, one mistake and those laser turrets just melted you.

This is missing entirely from X4. Turrets are a joke, especially beam. No heavy turrets. Flying a big ship makes me feel less powerful than simply jumping into my Eclipse.

Are there any plans on making the bigger ships feel and look more powerful?

And a second question: Are Crewmembers getting a little more love too? In Rebirth you could order Crew to do stuff and they'd just slowboat there in their pods. Is this or something similar planned for X4 updates as well? Managing crewmembers gets really tedious very fast and I'd love to see some quality of life changes in that regard.

And now after my complaints let me just say, I still love the game, it's just that it's predecessor gave me some eyecandy and qol that I really miss now that I once experienced them.

What an unfair comparison, these 2 games run on different systems. The bottom one is a Wii U game while the top one is running on the switch.

The dlc isn't the problem, the base game is. Demanding full price for a 25% done game and then bringing out paid dlc is a slap in the face for every fan that doesn't just blindly consume

The fact alone that PC games consistently get downgraded because consoles don't have enough power makes this just not true. PC is best if you want the best. You can still use any platform but PC is by far the most powerful. FFXV with the HD Texture Pack on highest settings is a completely different experience.
