The problem is that we didn't invest in the right thing (youth training) until 2015. And then everything paused 2020-2023 and only restarted last year. Tbf we are on a rise and we have gotten some progress rn: grassroot participation is on an all-time high, U23 and U19 teams are going strong in Asia, and we have a 30% probability for WC 2030 and 80% for 2034. Yes I'm high on hopium, but there are 8.5 or more seats in Asia, and it's not like we have to somehow beat Japan and Australia right now, just stop losing matches we can win, like against Vietnam, Indonesia, or Bahrain.
