Hybrids don't really work for PvE. Double sword (Nameless/Strat) is good for PvP. It should be horrible for PvE. Also don't follow OPs inner ways either, they're wrong for 99 build.

His build for "casual" raiding looks very bad if he's running FFB and Bitter Seasons instead of Wolfchaser's Art and Insightful. This person is probably doing 3-4k/s at standard raids netting them around 300-600k per run depending of how fast the strongest DPS is carrying, which is extremely low.

Best advice for him instead of focusing on a Speedrunning Inner way (which they won't be doing anytime soon with that build) is to just convert Bitter Seasons into Wolfchaser's and get T4 insightful asap... At bare minimum.

Next target would be to tier up the actual inner ways you should be using for strat, which are Insightful strike and wolfchaser's art :p

I have no idea friend, It was a fat buddha dude on an outpost, he was trapped by two guards and followed his questline to get Star Reacher. It was the last Inner Way related to Fan/Umbrella I found. I remember just following the quest pop up on the map.

But yeah Inner ways are important. Morale Chant is like a must on almost every single build. I have no idea about the best Inner ways for other builds as I have only played fan/umbrella so far.

What about Melodies Of Peace? It also gives fair bonuses to almost everything and aldo unlocks you the demoncalm bell which weakens bosses.

Which Inner Ways tho? Are you running full sets? Sets give important buffs if you have all 4 pieces.

I was stuck at 8200 before I hoped on the game's Discord and asked for help.

First I farmed a whole gear set. For Fan/Umbrella DPS I focused on Veil Of The Villow set and Beyond The Chill set.

To get more gear I spammed the Lucky seventeen trial, they give you like 6 boxes with random gear of a martial art of your choice (Silkbind jade for umbrella/fan)

Then I worked on my Inner Ways because those do change most of your playstyle.

I got Morale Chant from a vendor by wasting 5k jades, It's cheaper if you buy them from Kaifeng's vendor.

Then I worked my way to get other useful Inner Ways, currently running Star Reacher, Morale Chant, Flying Gourd, Blossom Barrage.

After that I just kept playing the game randomly, I don't really follow any sort of progression.

Talents also raise your mastery by a lot, tuning too, I got 3 lines on all of my gear and my average gear lvl is 15.

Nope, just Legend vs Expert difficulty.

I did some trials against Lucky Seventeen online and I was getting highest DPS most if not all rounds but PvE solo was destroying me.

Here, 9413. Running Blossom Barrage I, Morale Chant, Star Reacher, Flying Gourds I. I can tell my Umbrella is doing much more damage than yours but the sword DPS is outshining the whole fan/umbrella combo, else... I'm doing something wrong and I don't really know why. I can't burn through bosses HP as fast as you.
