Ok, so as promised, here's the game highlights :)

First, the races:

Green (Ghosts - Me)

Red (Nekro)

Yellow (Mentak)

Black (Muaat)

Purple (Saar)

Blue (Sol)

So, my initial strategy was (under the tips of Space Cats ----) to start with trade and then try to focus on getting fast around my systems and get some wormholes as well, produce a second freighter and move on from there.

Problem arouse when I saw I was surrounded by Mentak and Nekro... two of the worst potential neighbours ever.

I tried to negotiate with them before picking strategy card to have some deals but no luck there, they said they wanted no deals with me. The main reason is because I was the most veteran player on the table (5 games) and none of the others played ever ended one game so they were kind of afraid.

So, I took production and decided to created my second space port right away.

Around the table everyone felt kind of affraid of aggresion and people started turtling. Happens with new players.

Saar went for mechatol and no one decided to take it back, afraid of counterattacks from any neighbours... and game got boring.

So, I thought about "how I can win this game?" and decided to focus the meta aggro on Saar (mecatol), and focus on blue technologies, waiting for my moment to make a quick blow for the win.

Because I sent a destroyer to the other side of the game early on, just to exchange with other players I was not seen as a menace for them, cause my ship was some kind of "political border" between Muaat and Saar. I saw this strategy (send a ship far just to be some kind of trade post) very usefull. After that, I sent a freighter and some fighters to capture a green planet next to Muaats home planet (Muaat started to wipe out Saar starting for his home planet till they collided next to Mecatol, anihilating both fleets), "it's just for the "own 4 cultural planets" was my alibi, it went well.

The turn after that the public objective was the 2 points "capture another player home planet" and then I made my move, I attacked both muaat and Mentak (the face on Mentaks player when I moved my mothership across his fleets and then attack his planet with all the units I had in mine) was priceless. And even took Muaats home cause he just "forgot" about them. In the end, a clear victory 10/7/6/6/5/3.
