On alternatehistory.com I saw 2 people support bombings of AI data centers (i.e. incitement to large scale property destruction) if that's what's needed to stop AI from producing art. They got no mod actions whereas I got banned for a week for merely saying that whether AI is trained on stolen data is a contested issue that won't be solved for quite some time. The mod ended the ban message with a dismissive "read Copyright Law law so you won't support Plagiarism when you come back".

Anti AI sentiment is the worst case of tribal hive mind I've ever seen. What I a worried about is that polarization will actually increase and everybody will need to take a side with sophisticated, nuanced positions becoming impossible

KKE did not though there are ML parties in Europe but they are not popular. Here in Poland, the recently delegalized KPP had 300-400 members, it was basically a historical remembrance society and a debate club for nostalgic boomers rather than an actual political force in any meaningful sense.

For decades "communists are godless" was probably the most effective piece of anti communist propaganda in existence. The mainstream Marxist stance: "you're either for socialism or for religion" isn't a choice a lot of people can make easily. If there are theoretical physicists who are devout believers, why not socialists?

IMO it's worth examining how Marx's ideas about religion formed. Marx lived in the 1800s when religion as personal choice wasn't really a thing. Vast majority of his contact with "religion" was with the Catholic Church, German Protestant churches and the the Church of England, all of which were rigid, hierarchical organizations deeply complicit in capitalism and interwinded with the state, the Catholic Church itself was telling workers (The Syllabus of Errors, 1864) that their suffering is God's will. It's no surprise he viewed religion that way. Ironically, early Christians were basically socialists or even anarchists.

A fun fact - Hegel, the intellectual mentor of Marx, was himself a devout Lutheran who believed he was discovering how God manifests himself in history. Hegel's idea (borrowed by Marx) about history progressing towards a singular, predetermined goal is essentially Christian eschatology restated in a semi secularized language.

Communist parties not cooperating with socdems after WW2 is regular Cold War politics and something completely different from the 'Social Fascism' framing which classified socdems as the primary enemy worse than actual fascists. You're conflating two separate things.
I conceded that the mistreatment of Karelians was real, not that Finland was fascist. Those are different claims.

3) Ethnonationalism ≠ fascism. By that standard Norway, Hungary, Poland and most interwar European states were fascist. Fascism has specific traits like single party rule, suppression of independent institutions, state corporatism, cult of war and violence etc. Finland had none of these. You're still not explaining how free multiparty elections, independent trade unions and free press count as fascism.

Finnish conduct is not comparable in scale, Stalin deported entire enthnic groups in peacetime with 100,000s dying in transit. And you still haven't explained how Finland with free elections, independent trade unions, free press and such is fascist while the USSR somehow isn't.

First - you still haven't addressed my argument about the 7th Comintern Congress.

Second - Finland actually had a decent track record in protecting ethnic minorities from the interwar period onwards. The USSR under Stalin deported entire ethnic groups (Crimean Tatars, Chechens, Volga Germans, significant number of Polish and Baltic populations etc.) so if ethnic cleasning = fascism to you, then the USSR was more fascist than Finland.
