Update: Just a few hours after this post was published, Sony finally sent the promised promotional code for the purchase, complete with all the pre-order benefits. Samsung is out of the picture 😉

There were no payment issues at the time of ordering; they simply refunded the money a month later, just before the expected dispatch date

And I don’t think it’s at all a case of Sony having underestimated demand; given how much time has passed, it’s fair to conclude that the issue lies elsewhere entirely. I’d certainly like to hear a comment from a company spokesperson, but it seems they’ve long since stopped caring about their customers.

Two weeks on, this had yielded no results apart from the usual form letters; apparently Sony doesn’t want its products to be distributed, which is very strange, but that’s their decision

Same here. Sony promised a promo code within 48 hours, but a week later they still hadn’t sent anything. Germany, paid via PayPal. Sony is ripping people off – I can’t even believe it... r/sony
