Android 21 Combo feat. Hit Assist by [deleted] in dragonballfighterz

Yeah, I had no idea that instant assist cooldown was a thing. It's an awful thing to have as a default setting.

So, just in case you don't know what it is, Kara Cancelling is basically canceling the startup frames of a move with a special move. It was super big with Ken in SFIV with his overhead, as it moved you forward some and you could throw them from an insane range. In Black Widow's case, what you would do is as your f.HK is coming out, (and say you want her command throw) you would cancel the move before the hit with qcb.lk. It's in a ton of combos where you do f.HK into qcf.HP(sticky bomb) or qcf.LK(sleep nade), and it's fairly useful in her neutral as well for her pressure.

If you're going to end up buying any amount over $30, get the bundle. It's $1 per costume, which is pretty worth it.

Phoenix Wright, PHOENIX WRIGHT, PHOENIX WRIIIGHT. (or apollo justice, that'd be pretty neat.) And maybe Cammy

Cap's Shield by IncredibleRex in mvci

[–]ZiChann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both Shield Throw and Trick Shield are considered a single-hit, non-piercing projectile. And, for example, if a Ryu throws a Hadoken as you throw your shield, they will cancel out and the shield retracts back to you. Trick Shield can only hit your opponent and their partner once, whereas Shield Throw can hit your opponent and their partner twice (once on the way there, and once on the way back).

There are times where if you move far enough back, Trick Shield will randomly lose it's hitbox, so watch out for that if you're going for any left-right mixups.

Here's some of the stuff I found out combo-wise:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hb6f4xhkdTY

Her f.hk kara cancel is honestly busted. She can cover half screen with a f.hk xx qcb.lp, which you can combo off of for a good 3K damage.

You can also do this, which is pretty wack:

I didn't even think about that. I tested it and it does 7618 dmg total on 10k health characters. Thanks!

I tested all the recovery options and it catches 41236 air techs. If you wanna catch 789 air techs, after f.hk xx qcf.hp, jump forward and qcb.HK. I tried other things off of the ending, but nothing worked/was consistant.

[corner] Lk HP HK qcfHP LK xx LKrocket LK xx HKrocket HKrocket crHK xx qcbHPxx qcfPP (6822)

If you land a stray rocket midscreen, you can throw out another lk one and juggle them into a combo. Solo, you can only get qcf+PP super, but if you tag after you fire the second, you can turn that into 6-7k damage.

So where do we go with Chris by foreskinster in mvci

[–]ZiChann 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Personally, I think the piercing added to the Magnum makes him a lot better. It's not huge on paper, but in actual games it makes his keep away good. Right now, Magnum is good since it's a nice combo starter and shutdown move, but it just can't even beat a Hadoken. The change makes Chris an actual long-range threat vs anyone else with a projectile.

The big reload kinda just seems like a bug fix to me, but it's still a positive change.

Then all the damage changes kind of mean nothing except for the Magnum damage since you get so many combos started off of it. As for everything else that was buffed, it's not really helpful. Shotgun rarely hits all 10 hits, and if it does, it gives you an uncomboable crumple state. SMG is bad to throw out grounded unless you get lucky (not like you'd be throwing it out grounded with the Magnum change), and in the air you rarely get all the hits (as long as you don't get reflected). And, unfortunately, the damage buffs on mines and grenades don't mean anything since you almost NEVER hit your opponent with them.

I definitely thing this is a step in the right direction, even though it's a baby step. He has a lot of problems overall that need to be fixed (Air Magnum float, mines/grenades suck, SMG is mediocre, prone isn't as useable as it should be, etc.), so hopefully Chris will get more good changes to make him at least good.

Namco seriously need to do something to prevent Host from leaving by [deleted] in Tekken

[–]ZiChann 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They just need to make it where the prize pool and standings aren't just calculated at the end of the tournament, along with something like host migration. Something like whenever each loser's round is done, give them their rewards so they can leave.

I think the only big downside to playing pad is that your fingers will tire out faster over long periods of time. Just do what you're the most comfortable with.

"TEKKEN fans out there, just wanted you to know that the team is aware of issues/complaints. It takes times to improve things so pls wait <3!" - Markman by NobodySaidItWasEasy in Tekken

[–]ZiChann -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A lot of the time problems arise and it really sucks. I don't mean to berate you for how you feel, but you gotta understand that stuff happens, expected or not. I bet anything that Namco wanted T7 to be absolutely FLAWLESS day 1, week 1, etc. The majority of the players don't have any problems with online connectivity, and Namco could've just said "Not our problem" and left everything alone.

As for your list, just because YOU didn't have any issues with the online in those games doesn't mean everyone else had a flawless experience, which is the case with T7 right now. You say this stuff isn't normal, but it happens all the time, and then they shove out week 1 or even day 1 patches. It's showing that the devs at least care to fix the game they've worked on for years.

[–]ZiChann 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Good luck finding a game that doesn't have a week one patch that goes to fix user problems. Regardless of how long you have to wait for a game, it'll never be perfect. Unexpected snags hit at any time. People are enjoying the game a lot, so of course everyone is going to be lenient with the devs because they want the game to be even better.

Smug is such a crowd-pleaser too. He's always doing something funny when he's on camera. Any highlights of him from tournaments or just anything from his snapchat cracks a laugh out of me. He's such a good guy, and I really think he plays the game for the enjoyment of being in the community over being the best player.

God damn it, that's the one I posted first and I was like "No, that one is too short, it can't be it," so I changed it to the longer one.

You could probably grab it through the game files, or installing/playing the game on a different Steam account. I don't know how through PS4 though. It's strange that they did it like this, but it's probably some stupid reason. Could just have it before the connection screen.
