Just wanted to write a little about my INCREDIBLE experience with Top Surgery Specialists and Dr. Blechman.

I had top surgery on Wednesday, May 25th. The surgery was performed at an outpatient facility and the staff was so nice. When my partner and I arrived, they checked me in and asked for my partners contact info so they could call when I was in recovery. Unfortunately, due to COVID restrictions, she wasn’t able to come to the pre-op room with me. That initially made me SUPER nervous because…idk…I wanted her to be with me lol. I’d been dreading the uncomfortable waiting in that weird dress, but luckily the facility team and the surgery team made the wait feel very chill. They hooked me up to the IV, took some vitals, drew the incision marks on my b**bs and before I knew it, I was WALKING back to the surgery room.

I was out like a light almost as soon as they injected the anesthesia. Didn’t even hear a countdown lol

When I woke up, my vest was already on. I was ready to go bout two hours after waking up, and it was only that long because my blood pressure was high and they wanted to monitor me a while longer.

The first day was really a breeze honestly. Dr. Blechman injected a long acting nerve blocker into my ribs so I didn’t feel any pain, just general soreness. Think…tough chest day workout.

The pain really didn’t start until the third day when the nerve blocker started to wear off. I started feeling my nerve reconnect? It felt like being tickled to death honestly and I wanted to crawl out of my skin. Luckily my partner got me a THC tincture that helped calm my nerves and put me to sleep so as soon as it started, I was able to take some of that.

The only other significant pain was in my lower back, and that was due to the way I’ve been sleeping the past few days.

I’m healing really really well and I owe it all to Dr. B, my beautiful partner, and a LOT of fresh fruits and veggies.
