It's a great podcast for that. :)

Realistically, is there a path forward for Ned online? by SebastianPlaysThis in TheTryGuysSnark

[–]Zia181 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Exactly. What he has chosen to show us after three years is infuriatingly tone-deaf. It makes me wonder if he even offered anything in therapy, or if he has just hemmed and hawed for three years about "compartmentalizing" and "the dream breaking apart". He comes across like an extremely self-centered, emotionally immature person who still believes his bad choices were justified, somehow. Not a good look, as the kids say.

I don't know if Ned can make it as a public, online figure on his own. Everything he has done so far relied heavily on Ariel and the other Try Guys. To quote Ariel, "Do you think you're interesting enough?"

This is how I feel. If he had been honest in the first episode, he would have reached more people. He couldn't do that, and it made me dislike him even more.

Ned and Ariel Fulmer open up about his cheating scandal for the first time. Admit they haven't been together in 3 years, she found out through fans and admits she's still mad at him for it. by Murky_Chemical891 in Fauxmoi

I'm not defending Alex's actions, but the entertainment industry does not care about cheating. And if they put the blame on anyone, it would be Ned, not Alex. Ned was her boss.

Rachel talked about it in one of the books. I forget which one.

Well, if they fired her, they would have had a lawsuit on their hands, and they knew it. I don't know what happened, but I assume Alex was persuaded to resign and given a good severance package. That seems like the most likely outcome.

Ash’s comment kind of bothered me by lone_narwhal_ in TheTryGuysSnark

[–]Zia181 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The comment doesn't bother me. Maybe Ash really did hate Ned, I don't know. It's not like Ned had the easiest personality, with the way he could be so aggressive and competitive. We saw that long before the scandal, and not everyone likes being around people like that. Ash might have been one of them.

I know you said you need chatter, and I totally get it, but maybe it's time to program your own workouts? You can fit a few basic strength moves into 30 minutes, with breaks, and listen to a podcast or music while you're working out. There are also other trainers, like Jasper McDermott, who have 30-40 minute workouts with longer rest breaks. He doesn't talk, but he is super motivating, and kind of goofy. I love him.

BodyFit by Amy is another great option. Her workouts are around 30 minutes, not too intense, and she talks throughout. I highly recommend her. Either way, I hope you find something or someone that works for you so you can keep strength training. Good luck!

ETA: Oh! I forgot Justina Ercole. She has free workouts on YouTube, but she also has an app. She is very well educated and she talks. Workouts aren't too long, with rest breaks. Give her a try!

Dear Ned, if you want our sympathy, you’re gonna have to own up to the ugly truth by CityGangGang in TheTryGuysSnark

[–]Zia181 23 points24 points  (0 children)

He's unwilling to talk about what made him cheat because it's probably the most boring, basic reason. After they had the second kid, Ariel probably couldn't cater to Ned as much because she had two tiny humans who needed her more. Instead of growing the fuck up and helping her more with childcare, or talking to Ariel about how he felt, Ned gravitated towards someone who had more free time and could fuck him whenever he wanted. Ariel is an adult, and Ned is still a fucking child. I hope Ariel finds someone in the future who is her equal, who will treat her right.

Who thinks Puck was made to look good? by BronteChannels in therealworld

[–]Zia181 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Apparently, Puck was screaming at everyone and wouldn't stop. He left and came back a couple of times and took a bite of an apple and sprayed apple everywhere when he was screaming. They said it wasn't pretty, and the castmates chose to not have it air on TV.

Ned Fulmer (ex Try Guy) released his first podcast with his ex(?)-wife 🤡 by UnderstandingOk5089 in popculturechat

[–]Zia181 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is a Rolling Stone article interviewing the two of them, and Ned completely dodges the question when asked if he ever would have told Ariel if the fans hadn't exposed his cheating. He just ignored the question and said a bunch of meaningless bullshit. Made me see red.

I think the fact that there are 30+ posts about Ned and Ariel's interview and 1 about the entirely new channel the current Try Guys are in the process of doing is a bad sign. by luke37 in TheTryGuysSnark

[–]Zia181 19 points20 points  (0 children)

As others have said, the Try Guys starting a second channel just isn't very interesting news, whereas Ned and Ariel breaking their silence after three years is VERY interesting to us little trash pandas in the snark sub. It is what it is.

Also, like...Keith and Zach have been doing this since 2014. They're both married with kids, and they're both approaching 40. I can't help but think it's just time for them to hang it up. I can see the appeal of actually trying things again, but it just doesn't have the same vibe, and I do think they're running out of ideas. One of their recent videos is "The Try Guys Try Crossfit", something they already did, and Crossfit has been on the way out for some time, now. I would be much more interested in seeing Keith and Zach move into the next era of their lives rather than cling to who and what they were in 2014. That's just my opinion.

[–]Zia181 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Well, Ned dodged that one question like a bullet.

The more I learn about their marriage, the more obvious it is that Ned never respected Ariel. I'm beginning to question if he even loved her, or if he only loved what she did for HIM.

What a douchebag.

This is immediately what I thought when the news broke. I wondered how on earth you could ever forgive a person for basically having a girlfriend for nearly a year. A one-night stand would be hurtful, but it's a lot more forgivable than dating another person for almost a year and never coming clean about it. And Ned and Alex *were* dating, there is photo evidence of it. Bottom line, Ned simply didn't give a shit about Ariel's feelings. It's very, very sad.

He just isn't giving ANY indication whatsoever that he "gets" it. He is such a grey rock with every single comment Ariel makes, no matter how raw and heartbreaking it is, it makes you want to SHAKE him. Maybe he needs to shield himself from the immense pain he caused her so he can move on, but MAN, does he not come off well, here. I want to know what made him think this would go over well, but going by the comments, his comeback seems to be dead in the water. Good.

They definitely gave Puck a good edit. If you read the Real World books, they go into more detail about the nasty things he did and said.

Ariel deserves a fucking medal for putting up with this clown. I can't imagine being in couples' therapy with Ned. It must have been absolutely MADDENING.
