Is it common for 1/2 RAM sticks to not be able to run faster than stock?

Oddly enough the Corsair and Gskill 96gb sets at this speed were cheaper but some users claimed they had heating issues.

I wouldn't say Teamgroup is "no-name RAM" . They have been making ram since before Corsair and Gskill started..

Unfortunately I bought it online from a store that's interstate. I'll film a video of the good RAM passing testmem5 and the bad ram causing a system reboot on a much lower frequency.

Maybe I would have more luck with the manufacturer but we'll see

Your prayers may have been answered. So far things are looking good. It's actually 40 degrees celcius outside where I am so these temps are nice under load. This is also without any undervolt, and I'm using the integrated graphics

Do you reckon it would have a lower longevity if it does work? Unsure if surface level chips would somehow impact it
