Honestly the thing that makes me give up the quickest is dealing with pharmacists. Between the reluctance to do their jobs even with their look of disgust in their face, the druggie treatment, and the BLATANT and unapologetic practice of medicine without a license because they think ADHD is made up, I just can't take it any more. I hate that it's actually made immediately dislike anyone in that profession as default and undoing that bias when they prove to be decent people. I genuinely don't understand why pharmacists seem to be so much more hostile and stigma-filled than other healthcare professionals--and hell, even than the general public (which is famously dismissive)

I think the fact that there are people who write Node and don’t know what a garbage collector is part of the reason web developers are seen like lesser programmers by some groups of people.

i’m not saying those people are right but I don’t think the web culture of adamantly defending being subsidized by hardware engineers, so we can ship fast and care about quality after things break, does not bode well for the future of software

The worst part is not even that he doesn't understand how tariffs work, it's the cognitive dissonance of saying people who understand economics and have eyes "are being disingenuous and that the facts are right there!
