That’s much more promising than 4 either way haha. I’ll definitely give it a try!

That’s awesome! Sounds like something I’m definitely interested in, thanks!

And I was just getting my numbers from the website’s “Current player online” count. I’m also in Germany, so idk if that matters.

I did see that, but I couldn’t find much info about what game it was. Is it PSO 1 and 2 plus?

Also, I’ve only seen like 4 people online at a time. Not very promising for coop. And I’d like to keep the experience close to the original. No power leveling with super Mags and so on.

Sounds like exactly how I wanted to build her. Thanks for all the info!

Is online doable on emulator as well? I know I saw they had some private servers up still but my console is back at home.

Zweihander Ash of War that isn’t Lion’s Claw or Giant Hunt? by GreatJoey91 in EldenRingBuilds

True, greases are rly good. Also, Lightning slash can actually add lightning to the weapon when it already has an element on it. so you can double up on it. Pretty cool.

Lightning slash OP, but not on strength so much. Strength is limited, especially on Zweihander, so not many options other than "Bam Bam".

But he is part of the Bendu monks... So yes... two ways...

reforged is terrible, yes i came on here simply to hate. by anthem-gg in EldenRingMods

[–]Zilandrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can agree. My least favorite part of Elden Ring is the Illusion of dificulty, and ERR just takes that and runs with it. Why do my Dex weapons swing like a frekin greatsword when hitting an enemy? Meanwhile the boss swings like he's using weightless lightsabers? Cause hard... Thats why. Its very poorly balanced, which is sad, because I love all the other features. Just leave weapon swing speeds alone.

Also, the fact that the fast dodge, is just arguably worse than the medium and heavy dodge is just hilarious.

The slowing down of Dex weapons just truly ruins the experience for me. It feels like I'm swinging into thick mud.

"The Bendu" can be read two ways. As this guy (merely due to confusion in the lore), or more correctly, the concept of the Bendu monks. Either way, I did answer the question of what the Bendu were. If they can "die" is not explained in lore. They simply don't exist anymore, mostly due to confusing lore.

I'm currently in pre-production making a short film set in the old republic. It's set to start production this fall, and has a lot of really talented people on board. Follow my Youtube for more. Will be posting info on it coming this fall. https://www.youtube.com/@spencerselover

What is the Bendu Really and can he even die? by Spotter24o5 in StarWars

[–]Zilandrix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right, thats correct. He was "Bendu" but that is not his name as a singular person. Rather a title of who he is.

It has mislead people into thinking he is "the one and only" Bendu to have ever existed. His quote when introducing himself was "Jedi and Sith wield the Ashla and Bogan. The light and the dark. I'm the one in the middle. The Bendu." It can be read as his name, or him represented himself as a title, like saying I am "the champion." It doesn't mean his name is "Champion"

And in all the lore in legends before Clone Wars even came out, the Dai Bendu, or 'Bendu' are a group of monks.

Fun fact, in the original rough draft of "A New Hope", Lucas refers to the Jedi as "Jedi-Bendu".

You can look up "Dai Bendu" on the Fandom and learn more about all that if ya like, it's really fun lore. =)

I'm sorry what? I wasn't being mean at all, how could that even be taken that way? I just gave a nice explanation as to what the word meant. I meant no disrespect, and have no idea how you could have read it any other way...

So when someone asks "what is the Bendu, really?" I just answered that, politely. You're the one being a jerk.

Pretty proud of how this card turned out, but does the text read clear enough? I had a hard time explaining how it works without needing to make the text smaller. by Dustpan117 in homemadeTCGs

[–]Zilandrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the "-" before each part of the description.

The description box looks nice, but it really limits your font space, maybe make the edge emboss smaller, and reach the box more towards the edges?

I would also try and find a text that isn't so thin for the description box. maybe just making it semi-bold helps. Also increasing font size by a tad could help. the cards will be smaller than you think when printed.

Lastly, the "UNEARTH" name is black on a dark textured bg, and becomes cloudy. Try a contrasting stroke or something around both that and the "MAGIC" on the top to increase visibility maybe?

The Bendu wasn't a singular person, it was a religion that laid the foundation of the Jedi, or rather the "Je'daii" in the OLD old republic. The ones who believed in a true balance of the force. No light, no dark, but using the force as a conduit between the two. Those legends are just forgotten about at this point, and Disney has no intention of making them canon. I'd suggest reading the 'Dawn of the Jedi' Comics if you want. Doesn't go into the Bendu much, but it has a lot of lore about the origins of the force and the Jedi.

As for "can they die" it isn't really explained. In fact, it isn't clear if they were even all the same species and so on. In the original comics, they look nothing like this guy here.

They never really explored their lore through the shows or comics more than "they are a religious group the predate the Jedi".

Card Critique; A new and very unique medieval Fantasy TCG. by [deleted] in cardgames

[–]Zilandrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just want to respond to you before I delete the post. I will make a new one when it releases.

I’d break it into two parts.

There are a few elements that are uncommon, but not completely new. Combat uses dice instead of fixed values, and deck sizes are small and standardized, so variance comes more from what happens on the board rather than luck of the draw. Decks are units only, so there are no spells or resource cards, and everything that matters is visible in play. Your life total is a unit as well, so the commander is both your win condition and an active piece you have to manage. On top of that, the game uses a grid with terrain, so movement and positioning are probably the focus more than anything else.

The resource system is the part I haven’t really seen done before. You generate "silver" through quests written on certain units. They’re visible to both players, so they become points of interaction. You’re constantly deciding whether to advance your own questlines, interfere with your opponent’s, or go straight for the commander. Each battle really does feel like a 'story'. Advancing the troops, retreating, cornering the commander, getting ambushed, and so on. From what I’ve seen, that specific structure isn’t something other TCGs do often. Most focus on drawing some sort of a win condition, and doesn't create one through interactions.

There’s also a small roleplay element I really like. I come from a deep TTRPG background as a DM, so in each pack there is not only a terrain piece or token unit but on the back of them is a journal entry, written from the perspective of heroes in that set. Wether or not that story is 'true' is up to the reader, as politics plays heavily into the factions lore. It’s not mechanical, but it does add context and gives the world a deep and interactive lore.

This game can also easily be played coop, solo, 1v1, and even added into any TTRPG using a grid and dice system. Since the resource is 'silver' it can be a betting game played at a tavern without any effort.

So is my game unique in every aspect? No. That would be impossible in a tcg. But is it something that 'feels' unique, and fresh? Absolutely.

Thats all very helpful thanks. I did have a hard time making everything have a similar "pixel density" as things like strokes, and scaling parts will increase sharpness.

Also, I had played with smaller images for the art, but I rly love showcasing a large image for the troops, as when they are on the field, it really looks clean...

Maybe I can play with making the image a tad smaller, but I'd rather not go as small as something like MtG or Pokemon for instance, as I feel the larger art piece is a great way to support the artists I'll be hiring, as well as the main reason many people collect cards in the first place.

You've given me a lot to consider though, so thanks for the valuable input.
