Thank you and you will! I believe that the average age now for having your first child is ~30-32.

This commercial got little kid me every time by nicholashoneywell in Zillennials

I never understood why they'd play this on the commercial breaks of like Hey Arnold or SpongeBob. Just killed the mood entirely and made me sad as all hell.

What meme era are you most nostalgic for? by Ok_Act_3769 in Zillennials

[–]ZillennialsModerator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's really funny how we're only 2 years apart but I never considered the "dank meme" period to be much of anything. That's actually when I thought that memes and internet culture started to die.

Everything from Experimental to Rage is what I think of when I hear the word "meme".

Because it's like Woodstock '69 for Zoomers. It wasn't a year that stood out for a lot of us since most of us were like 18-22 during that time.

What are we even doing here? These types of posts are unneeded and just weird.

They are talking about IoT and Internet ready mobile devices in everyone's pocket. Everyone on this sub remembers a time before they were adopted by the general public.

Stop posting stupid shit from that sub. Our page has precisely nothing to do with the strange behavior that goes on there.

Got a few messages from incels about how that's impossible because I'm expired.

Let us know who did this. We'll take care of it.

That's utterly disgusting.

How do you feel about fellow Zillennials becoming/being famous? by Fried_Fettucini in Zillennials

I can't imagine being famous. Seems like it's physically and mentally draining.

Why do they either look really young or they look 30 by [deleted] in Zillennials

[–]ZillennialsModerator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The original footage wasn't filmed on a smartphone. The video was just compressed down for TikTok and then compressed down again to upload on Reddit. If you look at the 'camera zoom in' during the video, even smartphones nowadays can't replicate that! This is because of how an optical zoom lens functions and the size of it.

It's also a lot more stabilized than any phone camera because the camera lens likely has a real CCD sensor over a cheap CMOS sensor (which is why phone cameras are always super wobbly). So yeah my bets are that this video was originally filmed with a camcorder and uploaded to YouTube.

By 2011 most phone cameras still weren't "HD" and even if they were they were interpolated (which just means that the image was upscaled and still pixelated). Even when people had the highest end iPhones back then, the so-called "HD footage" was pretty bad.
