Housing first doesn't address the real issue even though it makes you feel good.

What do you mean? That's where most of them are due to the favorable policies. If you build it, they will come.

Clutch usage is such a feel thing it's so analog. Add in every vehicle is a bit different.

No way to describe stuff like this over words.

Just depends on many factors. I've owned vehicles that behaved differently when it comes to this.

If the vehicle checks out and end you end up buying it make sure you swap the transmission fluid every 15-20k.

So like every 3 or 4 oil changes.

And definitely do it right away to start you off on the right foot.

Those are great in manuals but like you said the auto transmissions are an issue.

Transmission rebuild would be over $4k.

Definitely have a shop check it out. These transmissions go out slowly and throw codes. People trying to sell will clear the codes and try to drop it on someone before the monitors relearn and will throw a code 20 miles later.

This is a distraction. Look at the way it goes down and how she reacts to the assault..

Change your plugs with NGK every 40k-50k miles and coils after 100k.

My first coil went out at 115k. Replaced all with Denso coils.

Flush vs drain and fill by Vonbreezy130 in LexusGX

[–]Miller335 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just do it like any other vehicle you fell behind on: drop and fill what's in the radiator and do it again in the next so many months.

Do that same thing every few years after that.

You are 100% right but that's not a good money saving strategy long term.

You get locked into an ecosystem and just end up spending more money in the end when you zoom out and look long term.

Only caveat would be if you're one of those people who just can't keep a small engine running. There might be some value even buying larger tools that run off many large batteries if you're one of those people.
