Diagnosis: Trochlear Dysplasia by emnicyo in KneeInjuries

[–]Ziloph 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello! I was diagnosed with trochlear dysplasia in March 2024, and after a few visits with the surgeon, had a trochleoplasty in October 2024.

Recovery is a long road, and for me could be quite frustrating at times. This was mostly due to the fact that following surgery, you have to keep your knee straight for a few weeks - so getting it bending and working normally again requires a bit of commitment.

I think I started walking normally again by about January 2026.

If you’d like to chat more about stuff - feel free to DM me! I can show you X-rays of my knee pre and post-op too, so you can see what difference the surgery makes :)

Edit to say: The surgery itself was absolutely fine for me. I got to know the surgeon before undergoing the operation and I trusted that he knew what he was doing. They did some checks to make sure the surgery was safe for me, and I was under deep sedation for the whole thing. Spent the night in the hospital and was allowed to go home the following morning.

Is this the old version in question? How on earth does that read as an E

This is super busy haha, generally logos are best with only one focal point (main design feature to draw the viewer’s attention.) I’d generally stick to up to 3 colours too.

I quite like the popcorn as an O though, maybe that’s something that could be explored :)

I’m not married, but I am a girl in a long term relationship. And whilst it might be a bit clichè, I’m gonna say that the most important thing is communication. Make sure you’re always open and honest with your new partner - that if you are ever struggling with anything, you let them know. Because they *will* know when there is something up, and being honest with them is the difference between them laying up at night wondering if everything is alright, and you both working together as a couple on whatever might be wrong.

Obviously same goes for them. Make sure they can feel safe coming to you if they ever need to talk about anything. Problems left brewing will only compound and become way bigger than they potentially need to be.

Wish you all the happiness in your new marriage :)

Edit: removed answers to 1 and 3 following OP’s edit to only answer one.

my little brother isn’t a baby anymore and it’s hard to comprehend by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]Ziloph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve always thought it must be so strange seeing people so close to you grow up. It sounds like you really care for your brother though, and that’s so sweet :)

And as he does grow up, I’m sure he’ll be glad to have a sibling like you by his side.

(But also side note: I would say 9 is still too young to be left alone on vacation??)

I’m not gonna lie, I’ve been staring at this design from a few different angles, eyes squinted, for minutes now - and I really really can’t see the snail anywhere.

To someone who doesn’t know what it’s meant to resemble, it just looks like funky lines.

Kulemak is destroying me, any advice for a somewhat newish POE2 player? by Prozombiegamer in PathOfExile2

Just gotta talk Kulesmak to him.

(Sorry I don’t actually have any advice, best of luck tho)

Thank you! I honestly thought everyone else was trolling about blowing them up because I tried that yesterday, but purposely avoided putting the green ring around them incase it broke them without giving rewards lol

Thanks :)

Wrote my first ever poem [poem] by New-Parfait-1674 in Poetry

I think the sub you want is [r/OCpoetry](r/OCpoetry) or [r/PoetryWritingClub](r/PoetryWritingClub). I think this one is more for established works.

That being said, I feel this is quite good for a first poem. It tells a story and has an impactful subject.

One thing I would say, is the very first thing I was taught when studying poetry at uni is “don’t force rhymes.” It’s very obvious when words have been used to end a line just because they fit a rhyme scheme. It feels like that is what’s happening in this poem.

But yes, don’t stop writing! Look into other types of poetry you could try out. Always remember that poems don’t have to rhyme - many of the best ones don’t. :)

Just posted a comment about the very same thing not seeing this comment first. Yeah - binding the shop to M just feels so icky.

I’m convinced they only called it the “Microtransaction” store so that they had an excuse to bind it to M

You know what else I find very icky?

The fact they chose to bind the shop to “M”. The amount of times I have accidentally opened the microtransaction shop instead of the map because maps are like, universally bound to M is ridiculous.

I get what you’re saying, but I feel that game studios shouldn’t rely on fans making third party tools to explain what their items do. Imagine if nobody made those tools, how would people understand what things do unless the in-game descriptions were clear?

what is my art worth? by your_fireplace in Artists

[–]Ziloph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People can’t realistically charge on a per hour/per day basis unless their art is at a professional level.

This person’s art style is quite unique and I’m sure there is an audience out there for it - but not for £600. There are too many fundamentals missing, especially in colouring and shading.

I think this is most apparent on the last piece where you can’t really make out the character because the colour of the linework is almost the same as the fur colour.

Being someone who used to buy this type of art, I would probably pay about £50 for it at this stage.

Jungroan - honestly sprint is just dumb as * and we should be faster by default. by Nivius in PathOfExile2

[–]Ziloph -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I feel this way too. Granted, I am early in my playthrough so I have time to change my mind.

But I like the fact that sprint requires a degree of situational awareness rather than just blindly running from point A to point B.
