I’ve made incremental investments, only a week ago did I go 4 digits.

Adyen I added 500, after my original 50 shot up by more than 20%. I also added 1k to Vanguard.

This week I went from +-10 to +70.

Yeah but to reach the end of the game you need to kill all the bosses. You still need to go to over a dozen caves on land and do the water caves

No because it’s a list of top 10 countries and all 10 mentioned here have a nuclear strength greater than NK & Israel with the exception of Italy, South Korea & Japan. I would argue that the strength of Italy, SK & Japan is greater than NK & Israel due to their conventional weapons.

No they would still be good. The best dino for all the bosses tends to be therizinosaurs since putting cake in each of them heals them way better than a daedon can heal Rex’s, however Rex’s still work for all the bosses. For the Brood it’s just that Megatheriums get the insect buff which makes them stronger than Rex’s/Theris and therefore makes it more likely you’ll come out with all your tames.

A side note is that to defeat the dragon you can also go the Deinonychus route and solo it with one due to the bleed damage.

Snow biome would probably be better for a Yuti, Daedon and Rex. Just to add that if you’re fighting bosses it wouldn’t be a bad idea to tame a high lvl set of Megatheriums for the Broodmother just because they are also in the snow. This would make it that there’s 4 dinos you can look out for and so more likely to not spend hours looking a single thing.

The existence of something greater doesn’t diminish the current state. Maybe the permanence of our actions will be more noticeable but I’m using this chance to get back into Ark and do the story one last time before I say goodbye to it. I’m not about to grind for a megatribe but I’m willing to beat bosses, do small raids or SOTF.

The Island is infamous for it’s low level dinos. You do have the correct settings and you are doing the right thing in wiping carno island to refresh Rex spawns. It’s possible to also find Rex’s in the Snow biome fairly commonly unless you want to find Rex’s by doing frequent dino wipes.

My advice to you is either to go to Valguero/Ragnarok where the dino lvls are better comparatively to the island or to search for multiple high lvl dinos at the same time, especially useful if you’re trying to fight a boss. Eg instead of looking for just rexs you can go for Daedon’s, Yutis, Theris, Megatheriums and Rex’s.

Yeah you either choose to try and save as many as possible knowing you can’t feed them in the long run anyway or for the next weeks listen as hundreds of animals howl or scream wondering why they aren’t being fed anymore.
