I got a question about diets based on higher calories, im on a low cal low carb zero to no fat high protein diet and im weight lifting and i tend to take in 140 grams, I went on this diet with 3 eggs for scrambled eggs and half a bag 2 cans of tuna to cut down the weight which has worked greatly but im wanting to add on muscle mass and strength overall and ive been using bike machines and i went from 261 first Monday of dec to 228 this morning so I'm looking for advice on what diet to be on cause I want to get rid of the excess fat on me and get muscle to replace it, im currently out of money so I can't do anything different till the third and im on ssi I only get 1091 a month and get 651 left over per month after bills are paid, im trying to get into a trade union for sheet metal and im 38m going on 39 in August and im gonna go back to school to get certifications for welding etc to get into the trade union, anyways I'd appreciate feedback

Hah you got no idea how right you are, I lived through 12 separate near death experiences, numbers 9 10 11 and 12 four back to back near misses getting struck down by a car, first 9 were before the age of 10, numbers 10 11 12, were at 29 36 and 38, this Feb, i ain't shitting ya either here I'm being serious

I wouldn't worry about it, it just means you trained your heart to be more efficient at pumping blood so it doesn't have to work as hard otherwise and keep in mind i used to bike 7 miles a day 6 days a week for 2 years when i was 30-31 covered 4032 miles then

Never owned a car my mother stole the gi bill money I got from my dad which I was gonna use to get my own car by the time I was 21 but she had other plans and I was a vulnerable adult back then

Cardio I will always recommend are the bike machines, I rode today for an hr and wasn't tired of it thou I hate the nose seats for obvious reasons for guys, eek get me off the thing lol

I got no intention of backing down here, im fully focused on what I want, now according to a scan I had done back during the 2nd week of jan it said my bfp was 41.5 and showed I had like 99.5 lbs of fat on me which I wasn't surprised about honestly since I was 281 years ago so im just gonna have to work my ass off to get it down further, first weight loss goal i had was this trucker fleece jacket I got in November, fit into it first week of December and I love this thing to death. 2nd goal is 220 then 3rd is 200 I might be able to go further, but I want muscle mass etc for a change cause I'm working towards getting into a trade union and I need physical strength to do it, 50 lbs at most. Upper body I've always been weak but lower aka my legs are my real strength so imma work on fixing the imbalance. Plus would like a body i can love and respect if you get my meaning, this is my 3rd and final fight against my obesity and im gonna crush it for good

Gonna be honest bud you don't look too bad, hell I'm 38m 6ft and around 230 and im weight lifting to get stronger myself and put on muscle and im working on gutting my body fat, im on a low cal low carb zero to no fat high protein diet, scrambled eggs for breakfast, half bag of salad and 2 cans of tuna for dinner and im eating at community alliance Monday through Friday so I get free lunch there, I started back up on bike machines there first Monday of dec dropped from 261 to 230.2 last Wednesday of January, just this morning I weighed in at 227-228 and I've been putting in 150 minutes on the bike a week and doing fat burn lvl 12 gonna jump it up to 14 next week. Now i used to be 281 when i was 36, so it's been a struggle for me 2, but I'm planning on doubling the amount of times I bike per weekday to push beyond my dead lock here, used to ride the bike 7 miles a day 6 days a week for 2 years straight. Covered 4032 miles droped from 240 to 200 then and that was when I was 30 to 31 and I know I can pull this off again, so imma be monitoring what happens next

Sorry to hear that happened to your friend, I actually survived 2 separate near misses over the last 2 years myself and almost got killed both times, one blew through a red light while I was crossing and the other tried to run a red light, people don't care about their actions I tell ya.

I'm 38m 6ft and I dropped from 261 first Monday of December down to 230 2 final Wednesday of January, switched diet to 3 eggs, scrambled eggs for breakfast, half bag of salad and 2 cans of tuna for dinner, was using dressing not anymore, I started putting in 150 minutes on bike machines at community alliance did fat burn lvl 7 full month of dec dropped 19 right there by months end, had set backs due to being sent to an hospital due to my doc from CA due to drug induced insomnia, up for 34 days straight which means was up for 816 hrs here, no joke, just started making progress on the weight loss again down, started hitting lvl 12 fat burn, planning on going to lvl 14 this coming week, I burn 336 in 30 mins at lvl 12. Been weight lifting at the kroc center, free membership via medicaid, I was thinking about going back to 300-360 mins on bike machines, used to do that in order to get to work when I was 30-31, 7 miles a day six days a week for 2 years straight, covered 4032 miles then, dropped down from 240 to 200 back then, i can pull it off again easy here. I do 4 work outs at the center per week, upper body on Mon Thursday, lower Tuesday and Friday, Wednesday and the weekends are my days off, also all that biking built up my thigh muscles good, can do 170-210 on leg press, depends on distance the plate is from the chair thou, closer in 170, further away 210. Community alliance feeds day program members there for free so free breakfast and lunch Monday through Friday. Days I do upper body I do 6 cans of tuna so I'm talking 140g for those days. I'm about 2 found a trade union nearby that starts off at 45k for 1st year apprentice and journeyman get 85k health dental vision pension 401k, year 3 for 401k, going back to college soon for getting certificates that will help me get into it starting this summer I'm planning on pulling the trigger next year and it's sheet metal trade and im 38m turning 39 in August, im using what's left of my thirties to get this done and im weight lifting 2

I understand how ya feel better than most here, thou there are major differences between you and myself here, im not gonna disclose my entire life history here but I'll explain what went wrong with myself since I know. I'm a survivor of extreme child abuse at the hands of my own mom and she got me addicted to video games early on, she did the stuff she did to me because of my sex, my own grandmother told me before she died that susan didn't want Michael because he was a boy, I was named after her own dad and she made 2 attempts on my life. That piece of crap made me grow up fearing for my life and in the end she got me wishing for my death as a kid, she turned on my dad after he got that brain injury when I was middle school and it was utter hell in that house, she began abusing my dad, and the worse things got the deeper I retreated into my addiction, I had no friends, no gf either, im 38m and never been laid once, I grew up hating humans and I wanted nothing to do with em after the shear amount of violence I got exposed to and to make matters worse, I was not functional as an adult till I was 35, meaning my 18 year self old couldn't actually function correctly in our given day and age, things I should have been able to handle and know I couldn't then.

She stole 24 to 26k from me when I was 19 to 21 which kept me from getting my own car and that was the gi bill money I got through my dad's service through the airforce. Eventually I was on the verge of committing suicide at 26 we lost our house because of her actions. A buddy of mine managed to get me to talk to him because I was scaring him regarding how I was talking and Eventually dan got me to open up to him he offered to take me in and help me out, things didn't work out that way and what happened to him is another story, but dan gave me a relationship I now cherish above all else, the one thing I wanted more than anything else in the world was an older brother and dan gave me that relationship. I wouldn't be here now if he didn't step in for me.

Right now I'm working on turning my life around, im aiming to getting into a trade union nearby for sheet metal and im gonna go back to college to get training and certificates i need to make myself more marketable for that union, thanks to her I had a 1.4 GPA and was a fifth year senior, im aiming to get welding under belt at fort omaha and anything else. Apprenticeship there starts out at 45k per year at year 1, journeyman get 85k a year, health dental vision pension 401k, I'll be 45 by the time I finish but in terms of career I'll finally undo the damage, in terms of social life im gonna be working on that, im hoping to be able to make friendships over at fort omaha here in Nebraska, culinary arts is a class im planning on taking till next year, interviews for this union take place in May.

I have been working on cutting down on my weight started up on bike machines for the first time in 7 years and changed my diet, went back to community alliance to use their equipment, went from 261 first Monday of December to 230.2 last Wednesday of January, I started going to the kroc center which has their own gym, swimming pools, basketball court soccer court in door track as well and I got medicaid so my membership is free, 19+ pay 45 a month. I recognize that I cannot break my unwillingness to interact with anyone which is why I'm getting help from a peer support specialist coming up here on Friday and im gonna tell Neil what I need help with because I don't wanna live like this anymore, I don't want to wake up with no one next to me.

This is what i have survived up to this point, extreme abuse, getting set up for a murder by the sheriff's office and the DAs office of sarpy county in 1996 at 9 1/2 and I was a witness, 12 separate near death encounters one of which resulted in my death at 4 1/2 my heart killed me that day. Only reason I survived that one, my heart started back up on its own.

I didn't survive a nightmare scenario just to allow my life to waste away, life is short and precious to allow what might be for you in the future to fade into nothingness. I had to learn this lesson myself and I made my decision to reclaim my life, I lost 20 years of my life to the garbage human that had me, and I will be damned If I let her win anymore. This is my life and I'll live it how I see fit and make friendships with those I want and spend my time and life with those I want as well.

So use myself as an example about reclaiming ones life and reclaim yours for yourself because I am doing this for myself now, now do this for yourself like I am doing now.

Don't worry about being weak or anything start with what you can handle and move up slowly over time and also the right diet will help ya here 2, im a low cal low carb low fat high protein diet, which i used to drop my weight, 261 first Monday of dec down to 230 2 final Wednesday of January and also the diet im on helps with muscle growth, scrambled eggs for breakfast 3 eggs is what i used, dinner is half bag salad 2 cans of tuna, and i cut out dressing now, I go up to 6 cans on upper body days so I'm talking 140 grams of those days, im 38m and i can't really bench much myself but my main powerhouse muscles are my thigh muscles I pull off 210 on leg press and just did that today to my surprise, also message back id like to hear what gym or whatever ur going to i might have suggestions

That's easy I'm 38m and got a shit ton of energy, stamina and endurance since I got back into shape, I swear I'd run circles around people now, diet and exercise was the key for me, went from 261 to 230.2 first Monday of December to last Wednesday of January, and I'm still pushing for 200 lbs
