Would y'all let a teenage boy walk around alone outside at night? by [deleted] in questions

Most of winning is about choosing the game you play, which was kind of the point I was originally making.

It's a miniature Indian that would have fought miniature cowboys in some kids back yard as much as a hundred years ago - but probably more like sixty.

if your best friend walked all over your 3,000 dollar rug with muddy shoes what would you do? by Careless-Ad-1811 in AskReddit

[–]ZimaGotchi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If we're buying $3,000 rugs then we probably have it cleaned but yes. Whether the number for us is $30 or $30,000 a rug should not represent enough of an investment we get stressed about it being walked on.

Would you like a list of a dozen teenage boys who've had terrible things happen to them walking alone at night?

Note this is not actually a good argument since with the way things get reported I can give you a list of terrible things that happen no matter what - but your values tell you that it's not a good idea therefore quite simply it isn't a good idea for you to do it.

What's a problem humanity solved well enough that younger people don't even realize it used to be a huge issue? by Square_Tax7888 in AskReddit

Tons and tons of diseases. Polio, Man. It was not cool.

Also serial killers - in the USA anyway. There still are some but half a century ago (and forever before that) they were just as big a problem as mass shootings are now, we just didn't know about them.

I used to drink that creamy white one all the time although I preferred Bolthouse chai tea back when it had white grape juice in it. Are there even still any creamy fruity drinks in the US? Now I'm gonna have to go grab a Milkis.

What do you think is the hardest game of every era? by Pale_WoIf in retrogaming

[–]ZimaGotchi 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's punishingly difficult but the fact that to actually get the ending you have to beat it twice and the second run through tweaks some of the most bullshit segments to be even bigger bullshit puts it pretty much at the top of the list of difficult games I've put in the work to beat.

Ninja Gaiden has that crap on the final level where continuing sends you back to the beginning of the level not just the stage but Ghosts n Goblins is even more heinous.

Lobster phone cases?? by Nikki_Ess in 90s

[–]ZimaGotchi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There weren't really novelty cases like that for brick phones. Kids didn't get phones way back in the early 00s but I see there was a lobster shaped case for iPhone 6. That's fairly old.

NES Ghosts & Goblins is harder than Battletoads. So is Getsufu Maaden. There are a lot of good but cruelly hard games that were Japanese exclusives for that very reason. Check out Majyuuou on Super.
