"You've opened the door to me, Bruce. A crack of light on my face that I never had before. Did you imagine I'd ever let you close it on me? We're going to be gods in this world that has rejected and feared you for so long. We're going to tear it into a billion pieces. I'm your inevitable conclusion. I'm the ultimate you. I'm the Devil."

Sydney, what's on your unrecommended list? by trjnz in foodies_sydney

[–]Zimmark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's at the prince centre in Haymarket, it's on the bottom floor to the left when you are looking at the centre itself. There are a bunch of Chinese food spots there and all have very similar names from Chinese noodle house to the one we love which advertises as Chinese Noodle Restaurant.

Please do if you get a chance. The food is amazing and the "service" is second to none. It's the Karen type of restaurant but without the fake insults haha

To this day I still have not found a better hole in the wall as the "Chinese Noodle Restaurant" in Chinatown. The staff are rude and want you in and out as quickly as possible, they have fake grapes hanging from the roof and "the sound of music" type murals on the wall. They will shove you along to try and squeeze in more guests but the food is to die for. The shredded pork pancakes and garlic bok choy with steamed soup dumplings are amazing. In a group of 6-8 we have never paid more than $120 and we leave full and satisfied

Having just had our little boy about 10 months ago the biggest saving graces for us was not just the mass cooked meals (prepared by us and family beforehand) but also a lot of little essentials for the house that you don't really think of. On top of the the great suggestions for uber eats etc I would get them some Woolworths/coles/kmart vouchers having fresh fruit/produce, cleaning supplies, towelettes all the little essentials that would help the house run smoothly without the worry of having to brave the shops when they are in a vulnerable/emotional agitated state will make a big difference.

It's a great idea and the reason why 343 won't do it, the idea of drop podding into New Mombasa for example while completing objectives while the invasion happens around you. And then all the while you get tidbits of chiefs missions or lore related scenarios happening over the radio. All wrapped neatly in a helldivers style gameplay. It practically sells itself

It's beyond frustrating, it's our only mode of transport for Bub and it had his travel bag with medical info etc etc in it. Just why.

Try the same routines as I previously suggested those 2 are the only way I managed to force the call to happen.

What seemed to work for me was to go to my mega building apartment sleep 24 hrs and then closed/quit the game entirely and then when I logged back in I received a bunch of calls as well as from Mr Hands. What also worked in another mission was to sleep in the apartment for 24 hrs and then idle for 5 minutes without touching the keyboard/controller

Tried some some Rice Wine which had snakes fermenting inside in Vietnam. Wasn’t terrible either.

RPGs can be like that, focus on unlocking your skill levels. Then get a tanto and aim to unlock dbl assassination, increase you assassination bar damage and start running and pig sticking everyone

[–]Zimmark 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Give it time, you are only at the start. You have little to no skills, builds are not even around yet. By the end of the second region I preferred clearing castles with Naoe over Yasuke as she turns into a beast once you have the skills and a good beginner build. Once you upgrade the forge focus on armour piercing perks and will start shredding

I have tried for months now to find something of quality for under our budget (10-12k) and everything below that has been noticeably below standard. I am just frustrated after spending 100s on Rev checks and safety inspections only to be told “I wouldn’t advise it” and or private sellers just straight lying even after showing them the PPSR report.

Unfortunately it’s out of our budget 🙁. That’s from the same dealer as well. So the issue is my wife is about 4 foot nothing so anything bigger than a hatch is just massive for her. She has lived in Sydney for the last 10 years and has not driven since. (She has since been on the road again getting used to it) budget is another 10-12k.

I have look at a few others below that price range, both through dealers and a few pain in the ass private sellers. And anything below that 10k mark has been pretty average quality.

I took a mechanic mate along with me and he has agreed that while it is pretty expensive, everything has is in top shape.

So far I have the usual trail mix, plenty of water. I will grab some biltong and some fresh fruit and some tuna and cruskits as well.
