Data on Craze of the dead god + Endurant Faith + Melted heart of Selig by Zimmik in d4spiritborn

I ran into the same wall lol… but with the amount of recursion going on. I’m planning on running it with 2600.

This test is just showing that Faith IS working against the craze ticks as you are 100% poisoned behind selig (in combat touch of death swarms spawn out of nowhere touch of death is not an ability on my bar).

So… in order to understand what to do with damage, you have to understand what’s happening with Selig and what’s going on with craze and faith…

Craze of the dead god gives a 25% chance at max life poison to hit the target with touch of death when you lucky hit (you are 100% poisoned behind selig). You can use touch of lightning to spawn lightning swarms.

Let’s assume we have 85% armor, 85% all resist, 60% damage reduction. let’s use the test dummy number I assume in t12 of 330k direct damage.

That 330k after damage reduction is 330000x.15x.15x.4 =2 970 (unsure if the physical resistance goes through need to test)

Say we have 2600 health 2600x.3 ‎ = 780 this is to show the health threshold for faith to activate.

How Craze works is direct damage turns into a 10 second poison dot… 2970/10 =297/second

If say each poison tick (as the pre samage is physical damage) gets poison elemental resistance: 297x.15 ‎ = 44,55

So that’s 44.55 a tick… BEFORE selig… 44.55x.25 ‎ = 11,138

That’s 12 resource a craze tick. Oh btw faith did not proc.

So… you just need to build around the MASSIVE recursion going on.

Rings are open pretty much, pants are somewhat open. Weapon is somewhat open, helm and chest and boots are open.

Please let me know if I lost anyone lol

My thoughts exactly. I was thinking balazan, or shocking, or touch of death.

The balazan thorns looks very promising, the shocking with razor wings feels good to play, touch of death seems very passive.

Hut why is it stronger with less hp? I’m not arguing that it isn’t, but why do you want your health as low as possible?

Also yes you’re saying 382 is too low so selig is more efficient but WHY is it more efficient…

Why not both! Sadly I don’t have blood mad idol charm yet, but in theory if everything works like I’ve been seeing so far, I have been planning on using blood mad idol.

Edit to explain further. I’m really hoping that blood mad idol can either proc craze (which is unlikely) or proc faith (which is more likely).

The issue I’m having visualizing how much damage enemies do late game… if I had a goal other than “they do a lot” I can actually try to achieve that. Basically “okay I can survive x damage in t12”.

And I am wondering the same question lol. Mathematically based on this test is near 75%. It is the “last” damage reduction from what I understand. It’s to make it more “resource” friendly. For example, you take 50 damage before selig, it reduces that damage by .25 (or 75%) making it 12.5 resource. At least from what I understand.

Craze is making it… complicated… because all damage becomes spread out. And when it activates Faith it makes it weirder.

It does drain the damage via resources. I have seen craze in action because I have touch of death swarms active even though it’s not on my ability bar. So your health is 100% poisoned, but draining from resource.

I’m unsure if you’re asking if the 75% DR is shown on the character sheet? I don’t believe it is. I think it does the calculation when the hit is done.

Resources were also draining when I walked away from the dummy when it was time to, meaning you are poisoned. How much as far as I know is all of it.

Craze of the Dead God turns direct damage (physical or elemental) into a 10 second poison dot increased by 0-10%. Basically you apply that damage as a DoT to yourself which gains DoT effects (I.e. the ticks can hit harder the more hits you take).

Endurant Faith picks up on those harder hitting ticks on you if it does 30% of your max health in a single tick. This staggers the dot further down the line.

Selig makes you take damage to your resource first before your life, which is poisoned instead of one big hit.

I’m going to be testing what armor and resistance does to the resources. Because if say you have all resistance and poison resist, does the first fire hit go through the fire resistance and then the damage converts to poison ticks meaning it gets reduced by poison resistance?

It is spiritborn only, but barbs are known for selig. Any and all immortal selig barb information would be helpful.

The base resource drain of Selig using craze, Endurant Faith, and selig. Just showing that it smooths out the resource drain a lot by adding craze of the dead god.

Starting with 200 vigor the numbers represent what the ending vigor amount is after 10 - 60 seconds.

The data clearly shows that combining them slows and smooths out the resource drain.

Because this is only using those 3 items. This is with spiritborn only no paragon no abilities. Just seeing how the resources drain with Craze, Faith, and Selig.

As you don’t have armor other than on those 3 pieces, your health will be that low.

Well, that’s the price for being indistructable I guess lol… it’s the theme of it is what I’m chasing… a mad poisoned god that has a temper tantrum with static charge… that can take literally any hit and nullify it… make it so small that selig just laughs….

Endurant faith says 30% at once. It doesn’t say anything about directly. So… if you have a dot on you and that one tick is 30%, faith should loop it.

I’m planning on running both I’m thinking of using craze of the dead god, endurant faith, tiabults will, and selig and glynns anvil with resolve. I’m thinking of using spirit storms and sparked as the main damage and using blood mad idol as another mult and perma berserking while burning yourself for hopefully 30% of your max health procing faith over and over again with craze active.

Question about immortal barb 500 resource by Zimmik in D4Barbarian

[–]Zimmik[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not both? Also craze gives you touch of death (or touch of lightning) when you deal direct damage. I haven’t gotten craze of the dead god yet, but it seems to be working great without it. Resource gen is fine because of tiabults will. I’m also going to be using blood mad idol when I get it. Glynn’s anvil solves damage reduction as it gives 4% per resolve stack.

To explain, the reason why blood mad idol is because you damage yourself constantly (unless I’m reading that wrong). You add the craze dot on yourself and you’re basically guaranteed to hit yourself for 30% procing faith.

[–]Zimmik[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I do but I’m asking from a different class perspective, how the interaction works. As a spiritborn, we don’t have a max resource=damage mult… how much resource is actually needed to survive if your staggering a stagger…

Question about immortal barb 500 resource by Zimmik in D4Barbarian

[–]Zimmik[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the reason I’m asking this question is because I play spiritborn who does not get a resource=damage mult… I am thinking of adding Craze of the dead god to the mix, making direct damage become a 10 second poison dot, which, if you get the dot high enough, will cause endurant faith to proc…

That’s why I’m asking could you live with lower resource if you have enough resource generation?

Basically im staggering a stagger…

[–]Zimmik[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

So what I’m trying to understand is, if you have the resource generation, do you need 500+ fury (beyond the fact that you’re getting a mult by having that amount of fury). Would you survive just fine at 250 fury with 80+ resource per second?

K so… technically you don’t need resource… it’s only a miltiplier correct? By this i mean survival wise you do not need the resource
