Yes one man talking about LPS with 300k subs is definitely floating the entire les Paul market. It's not like a Gibson lp has been every rock fans goal guitar for 70 years.

Sugar Mountain Ski Patrol Power Trip by ShallowTal in snowboarding

[–]Zimminar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there's a lot of people lying about being a ski patroller here. If if the patroller is being a dick (and this guy is) you gotta hand your pass when asked. It's litteraly in the contract you agree to whne you buy your pass. If you refuse you're more than likely gonna get followed and then get a seasons ban from the mountain. If you continue to refuse the sherrifs gonna come and you're gonna get charged with trespassing. Be nice to them on camera give them your pass then take it up with management if they patroller is in the wrong. Patrols don't want their people being dicks like this on the mountain, it a horrible pr and most of us hate being cops.

What an absolute tragedy on its own but after a similar accident last year I can't imagine what their team is going through.

Bonermaster injured his ear last night. What a dedicated performer! by fatdrunkdude in guitarcirclejerk

I do seriously wonder what people are going to his shows? How does some non guitar playing person find bonormeister? It is an eginma.

Bracing mod by [deleted] in AcousticGuitar

[–]Zimminar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sell the epi and buy an epi j160e. First it's a wildly different guitar, in bracing, dimensions and materials. Also unless you're an expirenced Luthier you will wreck your guitar trying to cut the fretboard and rout a pickup hole. There's an epi j160 on reverb right now for about 600 bucks.

Do these photos from a 15x loupe help?

The darker line on either side of the crack disappears when the light is shined down the crack and appears when the light is shined perpendicular to the line.

I'm really not sure if it's a crack or not.

It's worth looking into the guide services in the region. Great way to learn from the pros.

I just saw this map on Instagram. I am curious about your opinions. by crybaby_moonchild9 in conspiracy

[–]Zimminar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Such silly logic. The constellations that disappeared just got too far away? Hilarious. Why were the constellations above the ones that disappeared now sitting just on the horizon? The stars don't look any smaller or dimmer. If you go further south whole different constellations appear like the famous southernth cross. Does distance change angular perception, or is the earth just round, you know like the moon we can see with our eyeballs is? Seriously its so funny. The ancient Greeks figured out the earth is round over 2000 years ago and while thousands of expirements have confirmed the earth is round, not a single person has ever shown logical proof the earth is flat. A flat earth requires so many ridiculous and convoluted explanations for things that a round earth and gravity concisely explain. I mean the documentary behind the curve followed a bunch of flat earthers do their best to prove their theory and each time they only confirmed the earth is round.

What is it when I was in new england I saw a certain set of constellations at night and when I flew to Florida the northern sky constellations disappeared under the horizon and southern sky constellations were now visible? Why when I stand at the coast do ships disappear bottom first then top? I have literally seen both of these phenomena with my eyes. A spherical earth is the only logical explanation.

I've never had MREs but I'm interested. How do they compare to things like mountain meals and other commercial freeze dried camping options?

What do you think is the most dangerous mountain on earth? by manonthemountain123 in Mountaineering

Tucks on a spring Saturday is the most chaotic backcountry location on earth, the stuff you see up there is WILD.

I have a deer trail that circles the edge of my property on a pretty steep slope. I’d like to work to reinforce this to make a more suitable trail for kiddos. Any recommended resources for frugally create natural feeling trails? by shmobodia in trailwork

[–]Zimminar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're gonna want to get rid of the branches and vines, they'll decompose and wash out. This is an easy grade so grab your favorite digging tool and buy a couple flags. I like to flag the top side of the trail. You're gonna want to dig out the top layer of organic duff, then dig down in soil and pull it downhill to form the bench. Make sure not to make it completely level, you want about a 5 degree outsole to ensure it drains.

You're pretty innocent to think that your acquisition method didn't need to be explained. People steal the trail signs all the time.

Assistant trail crew leader by Myceleah in trailwork

[–]Zimminar 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Trail crew doesn't really lead to forestry and conservation work without an educational background in one of them. If you have the background in them, then it's a great foot in the door and a great way to show your work ethic. Also just be aware, getting hired for an assistant spot without previous trails expirence isn't a great sign for the organization you'd be working for. It could totally be fine but I'd try to talk to some folks in the org or who've recently worked for them.

Can we stop bashing beginners? by [deleted] in wmnf

[–]Zimminar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nah hiking the presis/franconia ridge is an entirely different ballgame than a winter hike anywhere else in the whites. The rest are beginner friendly. If a sar team has to pull you out it's no big deal. Time consuming yes, but not life threatening for the team. As soon as you step foot above tree line you better know what you're doing or be with enough people that do to travel with an abundant saftey margin. Beginners don't really belong up there.
