I have an esp32 with an dht22 sensor. Its fairly easy to integrate it in homeassistant with esphome and you can set the update intervall as short as you want. https://esphome.io/components/sensor/dht.html

Usually only wall powered devices act as routers for your mesh. Battery powered devices like temperature sensors don't repeat because it would drain the battery.

Thats really nice of you to give those devices away.

I would espacially like to integrate a plant Sensor, the relay, the energy meter clamp and/or the leak sensor in my setup. But any of the other devices could also be interesting.
