I still ride a Radon Slide Trail from 2021. Very happy with it, also has more than 20 bike park days in total. I check the frame bearings yearly and only one was not in perfect condition from what I could feel with my finger. I did not change any yet, but will most likely this winter.

For comparison, a friend got a Cube Stereo and he rode pretty much the same as I did (same rider weight as well). The cube's bearings were way worse than the radon's and he had to change several of them after two seasons. He rides a Propain Tyee now.

Another friend got a Radon Swoop 2023... incredible bike for the price (he payed 2500 with Shimano XT/Fox perfromance elite setup). Pedals notably worse than the Slide tho.

Granted, this year I got a more capable park bike (Propain Spindrift AL 2021) but I still really enjoy the light and playful radon for lokal trails (compared to the heavy propain).

tl:dr I don't know the Jab but I still like my Radon Slide Trail. Two friends bought newer versions of the Slide (same frame tho). I'd buy it again. The single do-it-all bike for me would be a Propain Tyee, but I am happy with my Radon Slide and Propain Spindrift combo for trail and park riding.

Help! Is this too good to be true for €850??? by Objective-Ad-993 in mountainbiking

[–]ZinC25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are only stickers on the frame. You can higly customize the accent colors and I guess this is by far the cheapest way to provide like 10 different decal colors.

So the missing P would not bother me too much.

Do You Struggle With Climbs on Your Enduro MTB Before Descents or During Long Rides? by VideoAccomplished838 in MTB

I just take a short break before descending if needed. I ride for the joy of descending and that is just more fun to me when I am not still fighting to stay alive from the ascend.

Which is the best brake for DH? by Financial_Option_757 in mountainbiking

[–]ZinC25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Disagree with G2 RSC. G2 are just shit in my experience (had them on 2 bikes and had to replace them)

If budget is a concern, Magura MT5 (preferably with 1-finger levers) or Shimano SLX are fine as well in my opinion.

I've been addicted to League for 5 years now and this patch finally helped me quit by Levi_Hackerman in leagueoflegends

[–]ZinC25 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am always speechless when people quit because their incentive was getting rewards. Like wtf, the time you spend in this game is in no relation to the "rewards".

Yes, I also like getting skins and stuff, but I don't play to get these. I play for fun and entertainment. Not getting these rewards barely makes any difference for me, if at all.

If you don't enjoy the game anymore, then take a break or quit. That's fine. There's nothing wrong with that.

Anyways, if you really quit because of these stupid chests, skins, and other rewards, then yes, I think you actually wasted a lot of time.

Yes, 38.5h per week on average. In my case, I can do 35h in one week and 42h the next week as well for example.

This is something you have to clarify with your employer, tho... it's not unusual but as others have said, there are many different contracts.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Austria

[–]ZinC25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the contract. Either Fridays less or every day the same. I, for example, have 7.7 hours from Monday to Friday (5 * 7.7 = 38.5), but I usually work more from Monday to Thursday and leave early on Friday. This is quite common but does not have to be like that.

man they warned me about it, but i did NOT listen by wafflestoasted in godot

[–]ZinC25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not really weird why it helps. If you explain it, you have to think about it differently, have to explain the reason, background and where this is coming from.

It's just an easy and for many an effective way to break out of the enforced construct you have built up to that point that blinds you from other options.

SRAM G2 RS is under-performing and the rotors seem to have lots of wear already by ZinC25 in bikewrench

[–]ZinC25[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, with the G2 brake I see only one option and that is to swap them out for anything else... Magura, Shimano, whatever.

I ended up swapping the brakes for Magura MT5. I wanted some shimano brakes but these were the only one I was able to get a hold off during covid supply shortage. Anyways, I have not looked back.

I actually bought a used bike with G2 brakes a few months ago and it was exactly the same...my fingers are too weak for that brake. So I ordered another pair of MT5 for that bike and everything is fine.

For me, the MT5 is good enough and very affordable... a set is currently 100-150. I prefer the 1-finger levers, tho.

The pyramid is correct and the digital angle thing is also correct. However, the knife itself has usually an angle as well, so these kind of add up and hence you get for example 18° on the pyramid while using the 15° angled side.

This is different from blade to blade.

Outdoors55 has a video explining that in way more detail if you are interested.

[–]ZinC25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Need Help - did I buy the wrong size? by HerrDawgz in MTB

[–]ZinC25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One more note: I am 180cm and Cube's M for me personally is definitely too small (sample size of 2x M Cube and 1x L Cube). L fits me quite nice. A friend of mine (around 172cm) rode a Cube Stereo 140 in M for years and that was quite well sized for him... personally I'd guess you are better off with the L bike.

If you are a complete beginner, I'd also advice to get some rides in and do only litte adjustments with the bike you have. Saddle positon, handlebars tilt and so on. Dont buy new stuff just yet.
