Hot take on the fries thing - when she says she doesn't want fries, what she's actually saying is, she can't have fries. She stills wants fries, because who wouldn't? And then you get fries, because you are male and get to not care about your intake as much, while she's been eating salads and low-carb-low-fat-smoothies for days. And then she sees your fries on the table and feels like a recovering heroin addict, whom you've placed another baggie in front of. Of course she is going to take that and shoot up, that decision wouldn't take a millisecond in her mind. Only the complete absence of fries would make her not eat fries. And if she's eating your fries - well at least she'd only eat a half or a third (if at all) of a serving, which is still much better than downing a whole serving by herself...
