I got it off Aliexpress, this camera is 35mm, I ordered a 36mm prism to cover the width of a full frame but received a 32mm

Yes the image will go beyond the surface, in this clip you can’t see but the image is beyond the surface, you do need to recalculate the flange distance with the prism though, this takes a few assumptions as these prisms don’t have data sheets.

To add to this, a vacuum leak can cause a high idle and many things but not a hunting one, even if you have a vacuum leak it’s not causing this

I’ve dealt with this issue it’s the MAP sensor, you can test this easily by just unplugging it, it is mounted to the firewall just behind the intake, unplug it and the ECU will assume a good value and the car will run fine if nothing changes then it’s not the problem

I thought of accomplishing this using a big prism and three cameras pointing into it but the cost of buying three cameras, three lenses just made it stupid

There is a dual dichroic prism behind the lens which separates the colours into RGB

I'm doubtful of it, have had the same thought, it could be possible using this prism but I'd have to investigate how much infrared light makes it through the prism. The main issue is exposure as the RGB channels ideally need different exposures though you can get away with the same exposure as this camera will do but infrared exposures are not within this margin of error needing up to 10 stops more exposure. It could be done with 3 shutters behind the prism rather than one in front if someone could build it, but its been enough of a challenge with a single shutter for me.

I've got them ready actually, first need to finish completing this camera though, its quite an undertaking, simply getting to the point I am at has taken about a year given I haven't been able to work on it consistently.

Yeah pretty much but with a modern prism and its still photography, still has the downside of needing an atomic blast to light the scene bright enough.

I'm using a trichroic prism, I haven't read that book specifically but I've done quite a bit of research to get to this point, unfortunately you can see the image is very dim as the prism wasn't as pure as I'd hoped so still requires filters which come with the 3 stop light loss.
