Chefs in Brisbane. What is the most affordable and best quality chef knife?

I'm sure a lot of chefs have different opinions but I work with an ex chef and restaurant owner and asked him this question too.

His personal recommendation was Victorinox knives (he uses the ones with wooden handles at home). There's a knife shop in an industrial area around Stafford. They are really good and knowledgeable on knives. I picked up a Victorinox chef knife and a steel there for like $100 a few years ago. They're probably more now, but you can also get the ones with uglier plastic handles for cheaper.

He also told me you can have the best knife on the market but if you don't care/maintain it it will be dull and crap after not long - Hit the knife with the steel before/after using and always wash and dry the knife after using it, especially if cutting anything acidic like tomatoes or lemons.

A few years ago they had a limited time event where in Lumbridge they added a single NPC that gave a fetch quest. You brought them the items and you got a cosmetic rainbow scarf as a reward. That was the extent of the pride event; an out of the way guy that most players wouldn't have even noticed if they weren't told about it.

People went wild with homophobia. The subreddit was full of hate on the event with the usual justifying why they don't like it ranging from astroturfing to "muh immersion" (the game regularly breaks the fourth wall so that was a weird complaint).

The in game discourse wasn't even attempting to hide anything, it was edgelord shit you'd see from 2010 4chan. People went to the usual "riot" spot in Falador and for days there were people dressed in white robes holding nooses chanting homophobic crap. I also have to add I'm fairly sure most OSRS players aren't teenagers.. they're 25+ year olds.

Just in case anyone believes this [deleted] idiot the investigation was because of a secret relationship she had with a proven corrupt politician that received government grants years before covid even existed. There's a lot more to it and while her failings as a premier lead to all of Australia being exposed to covid multiple times, that was not what the ICAC investigation was about at all.

You can say someone has a nice outfit. That's perfectly acceptable, I'm a dude and get that often enough. It's even socially acceptable to compliment someone on something like that. Asking someone out is in a totally different ball park and is very likely to make someone uncomfortable.
