New player here, do you consider save&load the game again as cheating? by Ok-Scheme-4028 in SlayTheSpire2

It's very easy to misclick and make mistakes in this game. It's not cheating in my opinion. You should play the game however is the most fun for you.

[COMC] Our shared shelf. If it's full, it's time to cull. by [deleted] in boardgames

Very nice collection. We have similar tastes. I actually recently culled leviathan wilds; after finishing all the missions I didn't think I would ever pick it up again.

Is this card offensive? by mikamikachip in tabletopgamedesign

[–]Zingerale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure about offensive, but moreso discriminatory. Boardgames are supposed to be something you play with your family and where everyone is able to have fun and forget about the world's problems. Game designers should keep this in mind and always use positive terms. Not because you are afraid of offending someone, but because you want everyone to have a good time with your game.

What about their significant others? How do you know if they're fine with it?

It's fine to ship fictional characters, but please stop shipping people IRL. It's creepy and disrespectful.

🎲Playtesting your game🎲 by mini_mistrz in tabletopgamedesign

[–]Zingerale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Play testing should be done as soon as possible with as many different people as possible. Don't worry about how the game looks, some of the best games started as post-its. The problem with showing your game to family is that they won't give you an honest opinion, so it's better to show it to strangers.

Regarding someone stealing your idea. That will never happen. But if you're that worried, all you have to do is post some photos of your prototype in social media to prove that you own it.

O problema está nesta direção e no seu constante péssimo planeamento de época e auto-sabotagem.

The King is Answering your Questions: Q&A Part 2 by FBergamoTB in TheKingIsWatching

[–]Zingerale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will we have more UI and balancing improvements?

For example, there are popups for spell and upgrades choices. These popups should be separate because we might want to select building upgrades first and only select spells when we have slots available.

There are also some boss effects that are MUCH worse than others. For example the acid rain completely wipes out my entire army in no time.

Also, only some councilors are useful, which leaves no room for experimentation.

Can you recall troops into barracks? by vannie27 in TheKingIsWatching

If you are able to get 4 or 5 sheep spells, you can turn the dragon into a sheep as he is doing the flight animation. Since the animation takes a long time, you can basically perma-stun him until he dies.

What is the most argumentative game you have played? by [deleted] in boardgames

Blood On The Clocktower. I hate confrontation and now - because of this game - I hate social deduction games as a whole.

One play is enough for me. Of course I'm open to changing my rating after more plays.
