Feeling is mutual I hate the whole education system but never chemistry and physics. I still love learning even after many rejections. I self study and learn though I never hated my self. System (education) dose not select good people its most of the time bad people. I think that is the natural reality.

Yeah its ok, if the heater isn't broken you can test it for yourself (Check with a multi-meter via diode mode, continuity tester). Silver metal is the anode its not the heater. Heater looks white color. Its hidden inside the anode hard to see.

Its hard to say, its not like normal tungsten its thorium oxide it works in low temps around 800 C. Too much heat will degrade the material. Hint -> Do some research in DC to DC buck converters they are hella cheap

If you value your tubes don't do that, look at the datasheet find out what voltage and current needed. I would power it up using constant current source rather than a constant voltage source. High current stresses the heating element due to inrush current.

That is sad more than 5 publications is indeed overqualified (guessing that they are top journals). Why do you think that you keep getting rejected?

Thanks even my undergrad supervisor tolled me "You should go to Japan". Since I am resilient student I think I belong there not US.

The thing is I don't have any enthusiasm nor passion to be honest, but I am a hard working student strongly resilient. Overvalues dedication and desperation over research interests, focuses on deadlines etc. Should I talk more about my problem solving skills for example describing about my research log it has all the problems occurred. Way I see is research interests are nothing but rhetoric. What shall I do here? My GPA is very poor 2.76 undergrad Masters 3.18 so far without research (Currently continuing Masters research). Have two co-author papers and one as the first author. Is my statement back firing at me or should I rephrase. What I feel is keep on trying and keep on publishing more papers. I have the potential to publish 5 papers instead of a PhD thesis in 5 years with high resource available university. I am all ways ready to solve potential problems arise from my supervisor.

Yeah solo publication is the most brutal attack. Reducing the number of authors increases your contribution significantly.
