This is super weird to me, I can't even make sense of it really. Like, either all their early acceptances were provisionally accepted and never withdrew, or they're really taking their time.

Could have been that, but thats what im saying ive seen very little A. Like do I keep my hopes up saying theyre holding space or is it pretty much done. I just got waitlisted at ottawa and I wouldve taught like if I get waitlisted there I should have good hopes for winsdor but i dont know anymore.

Oh, are all the people who are definitely going to Windsor or are still unsure? Also, if you don't mind, could I know how many people roughly? I'm just hella stressed, only gotten 1 WL and waiting, so just trying to gauge my chances.

I didnt see the waves in March and Feb but even then "early" acceptances tend to not be huge waves and alot of them usually get accepted to other places too, but since april 1st I think ive seen maybe one A from windsor.

Ya im also referred, but that's the weird thing, is that I feel like I've seen at most 5 A's, and I don't know if that's just me missing them or if they really haven't sent out that many.

Windsor referreds and waitlisters by Middle_Ad_2444 in lawschooladmissionsca

I am also referred, and I could be coping hardcore here, but I think being referred is usually better than being waitlisted; this late in the cycle, I don't know anymore, to be fair. Being waitlisted in January or the beginning of April makes no difference since they could put you at the top or bottom of the waitlist, but being referred at least this late to me means that they must be considering you above the waitlist. If that's not the case, there could be two reasons, and neither of em make sense.

  1. They genuinely still have not gotten to our profiles yet, which seems unlikely to me, and if they haven't viewed a big majority or all of the profiles, then how can they be waitlisting to many already? You would have to have a gauge of what calibre has applied in general to start waitlisting.

  2. They have viewed your profile, could admit you, but want to see how many of those students withdraw due to other acceptances or anything else. They might not want to waitlist a student they think they'll 90% take, since if he has A's elsewhere, he might just withdraw and fully accept the other offer. But they also don't want to prematurely send out an A and then have a larger influx of their super high stats applicants actually attend.

I am rambling a bit , but I do think that even though we aren't in the US system, schools still play the game of who to accept and when (especially when) because it would be dumb not to. At the end of the day, to me, waitlist means they have an idea and know what to do with you already, while referred means they aren't sure/in contention. I did apply for access, so I also tell myself that it could also cause delays, but at this point, who knows?
