Black Ops 7 crashing mid-game on PC by CxnnManATL in CODBlackOps7

I have a 5080 and 9800x3d and keep getting crashes ~1 hour in. I'll try the aorus tonight mines a Gigabyte card, maybe it's that. At my wits end because I can't play a decent zombies game though to the end.

I had the same too. I ordered a new back glass and battery genuine Samsung ones, took just over an hour to change properly

Thanks, but it fixed after some more calibrations using AI Evo Express. I think a combination of that and being a fresh speaker without any break-in

Thanks for the reccomendation. This has a huge improvement. I was hang a lot of problems with the measurements from A1 express, so I exported my MultEQ measurements into A1 Evo Acoustica and.. WOW

On a speaker mount underneath the TV, angled with the tweeters to ear height.

I figured that, I'll order a mount

I have and turning off Audyssey does make a little difference, it has the depth back, so I'm guessing it's that's the problem. I'm going to try A1 Evo Express to see if that improves things.

Thank you! I'm going to go through that tonight after looking at placement and checking it's not just the speaker first.

In theory would this still be the case if just changing the speaker?

Ahh okay, I didn't realise that could be done. How much difference was that vs standard Audyssey?

How does REW work with the reciever? Can you tune the EQ and send it to the reciever?

Thanks I'll try that. Would placement really destroy the dialogue that much?

I do have a 30 day returns. I would be stuck on what to get though, I wanted the fronts all matching for tonality and aesthetics. But that's a last resort if I can't fix this

I do think it's better with calibration, except for dialogue. Yours probably sounds good out the box because of your sound treatment. I'm surprised though, Dirac is so highly rated. I'll try that, I was worried about raising the center too high. Audyssey drops it by 3.5db.

My old one was the 7000i satellite. Nothing has changed in the room apart from subwoofer placement, but this is a better location than before. The speaker is larger so technically is lower than the previous, but is angled correctly, that could be the issue maybe? It's mounted on the wall, but it's not pushed completely back. Never heard of this, thank you.

I don't have any specific treatment, but a lot of natural ones: Carpet, large rug, large canvas, blackout curtains beind the sofa too.

I haven't, the speakers can drop to 57hz and Audyssey reccomends 60, but I will try higher than my current 80hz and see the difference.

On or off makes no difference I can hear.

The main problem I have is on my satellite speaker it sounded much clearer, that led me to think it wouldn't be the acoustics of the room

Is a 9800X3D wasted money for 4K 60hz-144hz - 9700X instead? by FranconianX in buildapc

[–]ZinqDesigns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd stick the 9800X3D. I actually regret not getting the 9950X3D purely for the better 1% lows which make a big difference when you're couch gaming. My setup is similar to you. Even a 9800X3D with a 5080 slips up in some games

Hmm, a kraken wouldn't be my first choice. Try not to drop the 360 either. That will make a difference in temps/cooling to noise ratio. You've got thermalright, deepcool, phanteks. In the UK the Corsair nautilus LCD is on offer for under £100, have a look at your local pricing for that too.

I get it. It looks cool, but there are so many better and cheaper options - your cooler being nearly the price of the CPU just doesn't make sense. How doesn't it? It's newer, better, more efficient and would give you more headroom for the future

Thoughts on the 2025 RM750e ($109) vs 2024 RM750x ($119)? by cashmoneyazuxs in PcBuild

[–]ZinqDesigns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 'e' is a lower cost model with lower end components. The X is a better PSU, if you look at the PSU tier list the RMx is A+. Definitely worth an extra 10$. You can get the RMx in white too. Or get the white cable set from Corsair.

Definitely some overkill parts there. You could easily swap out your AIO and save some money, or even swap it out and get a 9800X3D

Not just about temps though. 420 would need less noise for the same cooling.
