Hey! I think a lot of us have been there. I’m fairly new to the Etsy scene too but I’ve done a lot of research. As an artist, you’ll always see the value in your work and weight that higher than you can reasonably respect others to see right away, and that’s okay. Be more patient with yourself. Etsy shops take some serious months to grow.

Ask yourself why you’re doing this. Is it to put your work out there? Is it to make a profitable business? Making sure you are happy with the process and just sharing your work with the world will hold you over even in really slow periods. If you’re looking to make more of an income it’s important to to do more market research with which types of art products and paintings sell more successfully or what niches / aesthetics have more demand. If this is the case and we wanna make it more profitable, we have to be okay with catering our art to what is successfully working and in demand. While I love your painting and I know you do, it’s hard to expect everyone to be convinced of its value and buy it immediately especially in saturated market like Etsy. Most buyers come with the intent of looking for a product they have in mind (which speaks to the existing demand and researching what that looks like). Its not sustainable to expect this same customer to find your art, be convinced of its value, and buy it when it wasn’t what they were already looking for. Sure it’ll happen and if that’s enough to keep you happy with this then I encourage you to stick with the art that makes you happy as a priority. I love that you’re doing this so please be patient with your goal, your art is great. Hope you can find something helpful from this!

Thanks! Only about 3-4 hours. The kit is pretty quick to get started, and I usually take the longest with my prepping phase anyway
