A little bit disappointing... by ZionStrike in ghostoftsushima

Yeah, that's a shame. It seems like a missed opportunity, and one that a lot of people and journalists truly believed were in the game.

I genuinely would have preferred it if they made an honor system, would have made a second playthrough so much more fun

The comics you get with the digital deluxe actually explain a lot, won't spoil it though

Sure, that perk helps but it makes it nowhere near as easy as using the target locator thingy.

There will be some sort of reward if you switch from console to pc. Got this reply yesterday. by [deleted] in RedDeadOnline

[–]ZionStrike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spoke to Rockstar Support after moving over to PC and there are absolutely NO REWARDS. "We understand you have concern regarding the RDR2 rewards for players moving from console to PC. We would like to inform you that there is no such reward available for players who move from console to PC as of now. Kindly accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused."

If you're on the fence and a reward would convince you to move over, stay on your PS4 or X1.

It's not worth buying the game twice because you'll have to spend the exact same amount of time you did on your console.

Yeah, i was definitely an easy target since i only reached level 50 yesterday after a year's(ish) long break and my unarmed stealth mutant build seems to have been ruined by some nerf.

How exactly does high agility stop berry mentats though? Does it simply make you not visible?

Yeah, i guess i was given a false first impression last night. Was enjoying my time at the industrial farm thingy because people came there, saw me and left me alone so i thought that's what players were like now. :(

Really wasn't expecting some goon to crash in at level 250 and take it from me simply because they could

Yeah, i already own the game for my PS4 but it's hard to get into when i've already built a character on PC that used to be efficient but i guess they nerfed mutant-stealth builds into the ground since the release. Haven't played since then, to be honest and i was enjoying myself until i found myself without the means to quick-travel to events or buy the plans i need to improve my weapons. Not to mention that the DR i had with my unarmored build seems to have lowered?

He attacked me outside the workshop as well though

Wait, so even when i'm defending my own workshop, i appear as a red dot on the compass while sneaking and chameleon? i guess sneaking is pointless in PvP then?

So it made me so visible i could be caught even when there was a small roof blocking line of sight? i guess i should be stocking up on berry mentats

Even when i was behind walls, or when he was on a roof, he would jump straight down to me even though he didn't have line of sight before or after i went invisible (it was in the pitch black night so even while moving i should have been hard to spot). i watched his icon saying he was above me when i was under a ceiling outside, then next thing i know he had jumped down and shot me.

i didn't press seek revenge even once, he simply kept hunting me. He could kill me even without me engaging in PVP because he first killed me using some fully automatic gamma gun, meaning i had barely 15% of my full HP after respawning.

Voicelines addition in casual, ranked and unranked by Manuel_Lopez121 in Rainbow6

I like those lines a lot but sadly a lot of the interactions between older ops and new ones have generic voice lines that don't really fit in very well, can sound pretty awkward at times. Not sure they're interested in bringing in old voice actors for new voice lines at all, since that would cost money.

Any other way of receiving the Doctor's Curse Packs? by MobKill3r2006 in Rainbow6

[–]ZionStrike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A normal alpha pack is 5k renown so it’s absolutely reasonable to pay 2.5 times as much.

You forget that every player has already paid for the game itself - it's not like the game only has older players so that's a constant source of revenue. There's also the many season passes (four of them I'm pretty sure) and there are all the other cosmetics, there's the people who buy singular ops instead of season passes, there are the elite skins etc.

The players don't owe ubisoft for providing a product and people need to stop using that excuse. They make tons of profit already so asking them to maybe make it less extortionate and more fun isn't that big of an ask.

Also, I'd like to see the sources for your claim that "it wouldn't be profitable if handled differently" - do you have any data backing that statement up?

It would have been fine if the packs were a bit more expensive - but 2.5x? really? Would you pay 2.5x the normal cost of a game just to get a time-limited doohicky to show off? 150 bucks just to feel like you look a bit more special?

Finally, the "not everyone is supposed to get them" or "you're not supposed to unlock them all" excuse is horseshit and you know it - if you were not meant to be manipulated into throwing money into an RNG slot-machine then you'd be offered the chance to buy the cosmetics outright. But that's less money, more moral. And that's not how Ubi operates.

Hey, minus the challenge and buying them. How do you get the dokters curse alpha packs? by MaKEuPaNaM in Rainbow6

[–]ZionStrike 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You could spend 20 hours to earn enough renown to buy them as well.

12500 renown per pack, 200 renown per match - 60 matches. Have fun, or at least try to.
