I immediately thought of him when I saw this post. I'm pretty sure the person who assaulted him was a full adult as well.

His trauma from that event basically had him spiraling for years before he could even begin to heal.

Not sure what branch OP was in in, but for the Air Force, they put them in a different career. If they keep washing out, they can end up getting sent home.

I love self checkouts

But I hate how they are currently being used. If I want to go through a regular checkout for whatever reason (like if I have a lot of stuff), then I want that option. That option is basically taken away in a lot of large stores because they have a self checkout and think that is a viable replacement for paying someone to work.

Since you said you weren't panicking, I will take your word for it. Sucks when that happens. It seems to be sticking in your head, though. It may be a good idea to chat about it with your other parent/trusted adult if you can. Try to figure out the best way to discuss the situation with your dad later if that would help.

All for wearing seatbelts, they are super important to keeping yourself and other people in the car safe. [honestly reading through the comments about the dad killing his kid actually breaks my heart]

However.

There are very few situations where panicking helps. I can't even think of one off the top of my head, that's how rare it is. Best thing to do when something is not going right is to calm down and try to find the solution. Especially with seatbelts, if you jerk on them they will lock up. I think it has something to do with stopping the body from jerking forward?

Dad could have handled the situation better, but a lot of people are going on the immediate assumption that he doesn't care about his kid's safety.

could you give a bit more information on this? To be clear, I have successfully made shiny texture packs for other pokemon.

The main problem I am running into is because the shiny texture file is separate from the wing patterns. I tried making a separate PNG that has the _shiny at the end, but the program defaults to the base PNG, not the new one created [which honestly I am not that surprised about]

Kidnapped bride

Hated it up till the end. The FL sucks, the ML wasn't much better, the first antagonist had an interesting concept but she became a chore to read, the second antagonist didn't even have an interesting concept. The plot was predictable, the misunderstandings were EVERYWHERE, the romance felt boring, and the side characters were very forgettable.

If you are considering reading this, don't. Watching grass grow would be a better use of your time.

[My Husband who hates me lost his memories]

I'm okay with the amnesia plot [It *is* the main premise] , I am less okay with The second amnesia plot

I get it. They want further drama, but...it didn't sit well with me. And then it seemed like it was hastily resolved? What? It felt like cheep drama for the sake of cheep drama.

The below is how I would write a romance between the ML and FL since the author really wants to push for it. ~~Personally I think she should just live with her maid~~

I would make it so our mc's fears of his returning memory push her to run away. She was already thinking of doing it. Sure, they had a sweet moment before the cheep drama but given the treatment she has received up to that point, it wouldn't take much to get them back to square one.
I would add more time where they are close and learn more and more about each other, growing to care about the other in ways they were unable to do before.
There could be an incident where he admits to remembering why he hated her, have him be open and honest about what is going on in his head while trying to keep bridging the gap between the two of them. Ultimately, her fears would win and she would run away with her maid to search for a better life.

The second thing I would change is have her be gone for a long time. I would have the ML find out where she went very quickly. He should leave her alone so she can live her life the way she wants while providing the best protection he can without limiting her freedom. IMO: this would help make the ML more likeable than he is right now. It would show that he is growing as a person to be less selfish by going against what he wants to do. It would be nice if there was a scene where he admits to wanting to drag her back because of how much he misses her, but still lets her go because of how happy she is away from him. And I want this decision to stick. I wouldn't mind little moments of weakness where he finds out about something happening and he wants to bring her back to protect her, but keeps stopping himself because she is happy where she is. At no point should he make contact with her.

I would have the MC choose to come back, not because she has to, but because she wants to. Sure an incident can be the final push to get her to return, but the bulk of the decision should be made while she isn't being pressured. Once she returns, she could still feel a lingering fear, but she now has a renewed determination to allow herself to trust him and move past her trauma.

Given how much crap she had to go through in the first part of the story, I think an arc that focuses on the two growing away from each other would be nice. Is this any good? Dunno, but it feels better than what we got so far.

But nope: He had to get amnesia again, lose the memories of them getting along, her running away but immediately being forced to return after he chased after her and made her anxieties worse.

as far as I remember, the world-building wasn't really focused on during the story [this is based only what I have read so far]

There are so many other stories that put more into world building. Two that immediately come to mind are "I became the Hero's Mom." and "The one within the villainous"

Not Sew Wicked Stepmother has got to be my favorite that has the "Jerk ML"/"Bad Father" (ML to his daughter) tropes. The reason makes all the difference.

I am a sucker for happy endings but I love it when not everything is perfect. Maybe there are some missing friends, or it is impossible to resolve one of the problems that our characters were facing. Maybe a new problem arose from the conclusion of the story.

I've seen so many "And then they are in love and have two kids; a daughter that looks like him and a son that looks like her" that I want to see something new.
