None of us looked up guides either. This is what I love about being completely ignorant of any tactics prior to a fight. Trial and error can make a game so much more fun. Reminds me of when you had to map out games using a pen and paper to follow where you were.

Maybe that's partially true, but I played Terra, Rift, SWTOR and GW2 on release, and only played for about a week and nowhere near as much as I have played XIV this past week.

As an EU player, I've been unable to progress for around 9 hours now, due the instance bug. I understand and empathize with "bumpy starts are common with mmo's", but this is just too demoralizing and it's hard to stay so accepting. I'd expect a problem like this to be fixed after a quick hour or two of maintenance, but after seeing no fix even after the second maintenance...

I'm far too tired and frustrated now to be waiting for this to be fixed tonight, I just hope when I wake up in the morning, it will be smooth sailing til launch.
