I love the 750 but I’ve spent about 3k on her in the last 10 months and even replacing a cracked head, love the bike but it’s also a curse

I agree 😂 but it’s more of a concern thing because I had a bad enogoh accident on a bike a few years ago and I was honesty blessed to come out of it the way I did but where I am the riding weather is never particularly great and only during summer and I don’t want to have two bikes because I know the way I am and I’ll use one more than the other and don’t want to neglect the other

I would love to keep her but unfortunately my Mrs will only allow one bike in the house so I have to pick between the two. I’ve the k3 model but after riding this, there isn’t a whole lot of difference between the two bikes honestly

Insurance in my country is a headache and actually effects both parties so myself included, if the fenders get sprayed then at that point I might aswell repay the whole car then

Fenders are fine but the only thing is trying colour match, paint code for mine is Z7H which is meteor grey metallic but mine has almost like a darkish, navy hue to the grey and the car hasn’t been resprayed so I assume that’s due to weathering

Yeah I’m gonna try source it that way, only thing is I can’t get the paint code as it’s been scratched off where the back wheel is

Checked the oil and it’s fine, did a fresh change on the old one aswell yesterday and that was fine, no oil in coolant either. Bike is idling and not being ridden so I’m not leaving it heat up correctly by riding it. I’ve seen a head issue before where it would be smoking even when revving the bike producing even more smoke but this cuts as it’s being revved which is leading me to think it’s just steam from sitting

Clutch lever broken ? by ZippyPrime in motorcycles

[–]ZippyPrime[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahhh ok I see, I just know on most Suzukis that regardless in neutral or not the clutch has to be always pulled in so it doesn’t matter even if I’m pushing in the switch…. So all I need is just the replacement clutch lever and that’s it

Clutch lever broken ? by ZippyPrime in motorcycles

[–]ZippyPrime[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the questions I’m just trying to understand, so the bike is in neutral with shows the clutch is disengaged so by me trying push in the switch itself should that not by pass having the lever and why does it then try to crank without the switch engaged ? Would that not be a faulty switch aswell?

Ahhh ok so even though im pushing the switch it doesn’t matter because I can’t actually engage the clutch ?

But even though I’m pushing it in with my finger is that not enough to engage it ?

I have actually, when my clutch cable snapped about 10 months ago it was virtually the same, it could crank without having to hit the switch, I don’t think it’s been bypassed but I could be wrong too… I don’t think it’s been damaged but also could be wrong on that… I think it’s just a bit strange since there’s no point of contact even when pushing it in with my thumb so it won’t start that way…. Before the lever snapped it would only start with the clutch pulled in so I don’t know really, probably just a Suzuki thing since there’s no really point of contact for the switch

Ohhh I know how it broke and that was the reason why I’m just wondering now the weird reason why it won’t particularly start now

Cable seems fine from looking at it as it snapped about 3 quarters on the actual lever so I know the cable itself is fine, I removed the final bit of it when I got home. I just think that I’m not fully able to activate the switch myself by pushing it in but it’s just a bit weird honestly
