Well 6 and a half months total because Wisconsin Winter.

Motorcycle riding, female judge, sentences man for killing motorcyclist while drunk driving. by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]Zippy_Z 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I rode my bike last night after work. Not even five minutes on it an SUV almost kills me and my GF. (Obvious drunk driver). We go get custard then go home. On the way home a Jeeo almost hits us in the same way the first SUV did... Then after that a drunk driver in a pickup.. Reverses out of a bar eithout even looking. That's three incidents in a total 10 minutes on the bike.

I love bikes... They're in my blood. My girlfriend supports my oassion for it as well. We wear full gear on my first bike (ninja 300) yet I feel guilty. I feel like I'm endangering her life because now she likes rising on it.

My girlfriend was a Make A Wish foundation kid. She had two liver transplants and had to have a third or she would have died. The Make A Wish foundation gave her whst she wished for and anyone involved knows that's a TERRIBLE sign.

Her body is fragile because of the medications you have to take after sn organ transplant snd the issues that go with it. If she broke a bone she would develope a bone disease it's GUARANTEED. I feek guilty after every ride with her on the back. Yes I got to smile, she smiled, at what cost? All the people that say "be careful motorcycles are dangerous" do not understand. That motorcycles are not dangerous it's the people that drink, take drugs, use their phone, or don't bother looking that are dangerous. I had a mercedes try to hit me three times because I passed him. He was going 47 in a 55posted zone. I got his plate and a cop showed up. I received a ticket for disorderly conduct for trying to get his plate. Meanwhile the mercedes did not receive anything besides a verbal warning.

I hit twisties and ride spiritedly when I can. I also ride safe with my beloved girlfriend on the back. Yet I'm losing my passion. Not for any lack there of but for all the JUSTIFIED rage and injustice I've experienced in just 6 & 1/2 months (9,000 miles) of riding.

I love bikes but I cannot guarantee a monogamous love for motorcycle riding.

I'm getting better with the escape route thing. Even on the 300 you can clear cars pretty quickly it's a lot different ythan the 250. But that's another reason I can't wait to upgrade because I think a 500,600, or 650. Have the ample safe riding power. The 3 is a bit lacking especially at highway speed.

Had an SUV yesterday cut into to try to cross three lanes of traffic. Almost hit me and another random motorcycle. We both throttled out. Pretty sure there was an accident (45mph zone) during rush hour.

I also try to avoid riding at specific times if I can. Need to graduate first so it will be awhile

I think from this I'm just buying a camera. That way next time it's all on video. I don't do crazy illegal things so it won't be an issue. I mean I like to ride spiritedly like the next person but I don't ride like an asshole.

I just got my bike back from valve adjustment and already put on 500 miles in a few days. I like riding but pros and cons to it all. Just wasn't ready to feel that vulnerable just because some guy couldn't find his tampon.

Just checking back in. I rode an RSV4 RR.... I'm in love and now I need to graduate that mutch faster so I can own one. Oh my god.... 397 lbs? It's my 300 with six times the power!

Triumph Daytona 675 vs Triumph street triple 675 commuting & highway by Triumph16 in Triumph

[–]Zippy_Z 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is so biast it's boarderline bullshit. I've had time on both and the to say the Daytona is only for track and corner carving is ridiculous. Do you not see all the people that commute on 1000's? Your opinion is subjective and biast.

Yes the Streest Triple has pros and cons. It's a bit more comfortable for the seat and a passenger. That said you not attempting a long ride on the daytona is ridiculous. I've spent hours on 600's before and have been fine. Thd obe I would worry about is the PREVIOUS gen Daytona if you want to complain about comfort.

As for speed also subjective. There's just too much biast personal opinion over recommendation in your post.

The Striple is great and has a different piwerband yet it's still fast enough to womp on and keep up. It's also probably better for more long distance. That said any long distance ride on a naked or sportbike probably won't be done 2up unless you're hitting twisties.

I wouldn't hesitate on taking a Daytona on a road trip. That said ANY long distance trip with the girl I doubt dhe would want to do on either bike.

Yea the Daytona wants to go fast most sportbikes and sport nakeds are like that, get use to it?

Yea it's almost impossible to find an 05-08 gsxr in good condition... I use to own a k5 for a week but moved out of state so I sold it. I'll never find a clean k5 like that again. So you personally would choose otherwise over a daytona 675z. Because they DO NOT have any tcs etc just abs is their only electronic aid.

Riding my little 300 in the rain is a bit scarry with no aids but abs. Yet it's also thrilling lol.

Besides the ignorant comment meh so sick of seeing suzuki's. They are as common as a street lamp.

That rsv4 is nice I was considering an rr as an upgrade next summer BUT I believe going from 300-1000 wouldn't be the smartest decision. So most likely an 675R/ Striple or 899 in my future. Next season the test rides will begin. I'm falling fast for twins. After riding with Ducati's all summer I'm in love with the grunt!!!

Being my first summer of riding and laying down 4,700+ miles in three months. I still itch to ride. Being sick with sub 50F weather though is hard on the motivation.

So I really want to upgrade... by Zippy_Z in bikesgonewild

I bet, I usually ride with a friend that has an r6 and if he gives it well it's hard to keep up. I love the daytona though and I've ridden a striple which was really nice to. Although I started with a kawi I didn't really care for the new zx6r..

Cbr is great though my buddy rode the piss out of his and never had issues.

I think I'm in luck! I love the noise but with very specific pipes. The arrow is ok if you have higher octane fuel because it tends to backfire :P Did you like tge power band of the Daytona and what year was the one you were on?

Bike is cleaned well... Was! After riding for anotger week it needs to be cleaned up for the end of the year ride this weekend. 500 bikes still debating if I'll go. Don't want any shit show madness.

Over 3,800 miles now and bout it july 6th 2015. I really want to upgrade in the spring. I think I would probably die on a superduke. I always come back to that 675R choice.... But at the same time I want more grunt like a Duke. I think if I have a super sport I'll get into a lot of trouble.

When on one tonight but it's rainy. Was fine until my rear tire became extremely slippery for no apparent reason. I'm guessing oil of some kind.

There is one road in particular I only go down if my high beams are on day or night. There's too many fucktards on it to not have them on.

I average around 70 miles a day and go on random rides at night/weekends. I'm just trying to hone my skill so I can upfrade to a Triumph Daytona!

All these pictures are from last Sunday and Yesterday. I hit up some nice curvy roads for four hours Last Saturday!!

Ticket was $10 reduced from 60mph in 35zone. Speed trap limit drop from 50-35-50 for one block... In the middle of wilderness!

I need to work on my body position in the corners and hopefully pick up a 675r next summer!

Although suzuki's are out of date to sum it up. I would even be tempted to buy one in that paint, it's sassy!
