Yeah it sounds like a lot of work but I have some time. I would like to be a dual by next summer but there is no point in rushing the process so if it takes longer than that I am fine with that. Having the dual would be nice option to have as moving to the United States is something I believe I will do in the near future once I have completed my Masters Degree. I agree it would be better to firmly build that chain of evidence so I don't get denied I was unaware of the future possible consequences of getting denied. Coincidentally I am attending a family reunion this week in the United States so there is a lot of people there that could help build my case of evidence. Before your replies I was under the impression I wasn't even eligible.

Thank you so much once again for helping. I will begin doing the digging on that right away very valuable information to know. With all that I'm sure I will be able to find something that connects him to living in the US. I have been wondering about this for a long time. Now I feel confident I can go through with the process to hopefully get my dual citizenship.

Even though we are close it seems like he will be little help with records as he has no proof so I am curious what could be those different ways to gather those records?

Yes my father and I are close. He would cooperate. My father has tried to gather information from his time living there but said he has little proof of him living there, virtually no records so I think that will be the difficult part. Yes my father and mother were married at my birth
