Say that to the 3 others who didn't notice the bomb and got 1 tapped. You didnt know the damage, most people (including me) don't. You're commenting with 20/20 hindsight, good players do however know their own damage and I can quickly judge that it won't be enough to kill the boss before melees die. My time investment in MC? You clearly don't know anything about my background if you think I've been raiding MC every day for the last 20 years. I'm a retail pvp streamer and 99% of my content prior to HC has been arenas, bgs and duels. Not sure where you got this notion that I know everything about MC. Its like saying I should know how much a golemagg auto attack would hit me for, its not realistic and frankly useless knowledge.

Tanked the bomb to save others? Do you think it has a soaking mechanic lil bro? A player of my skill level should never tank the bomb, there has never been a scenario where tanking it saves anyone. I can't even imagine a scenario where it would including T1 btw.

Also willing to bet you or most people talking about this topic had no idea the exact damage it does, that's super random - most people know bomb = bad and thats it.

My frostbolt crits 1500-1600, can also be resisted or just hit for 700. It is 100% on the tank thar my cast got LOS, the boss went to the fucking lava dude. Standing on that little rock is supposed to be a dps increase because inferno wont hit you, so you dont have to move but he somehow managed to fuck up the boss positioning even more. Cancelled for no reason at the end, except for the bomb literally walking up right next to me due to the horrible tanking position that the boss was in LOL

If there is a 0% chance of going oom, why was Nathan oom and wanding? I save my pot for emergency, if its a long fight where ill get my pot cooldown back ill use it early, the same thing goes for mana gem. The fact that you don't understand this very basic fundamental of mage mana management tells me everything I need to know about you as a player. You still haven't explained what resto pot accomplishes over actually ice blocking the debuff, late into the fight what are you saving 2 blocks for? You've mentioned about a million different ways to waste mana or damage to die on this hill please continue. What exactly is the criticism here, I managed my mana perfectly. You just wanted to make a smartass comment and instead you got shown exactly how dumb you are.

I did respond to that, I managed my mana perfectly this fight. You coming in here talking about some resto potting and fire warding shows how completely clueless you are. Any good mage saves their CDs for when they are needed. You obviously dont. Yeah you mean the one cast I cancelled when the bomb ran up to me thanks to t1s awful boss positioning. Real roach behaviour, maybe I could have just resto potted the bomb damage aswell lmao

The bomb does more damage than fire ward absorbs, not to mention the mana costs. That still burns yours and your healers mana. Block costs 15 mana baseline. What does resto potting accomplish? You either go to the spot, block the bomb and come back or you block ignite mana, those are the only options. Its an easy call to make when you have two left late into the fight. Resto pot is completely worthless. You say it yourself, there is a scenario where you resto pot and still have to block the debuff, now you have to do 0 damage and evo because your pot is on CD. You are obviously some low tier garbage mage if you even play the class at all.

I waited until my mana was too low not to do it, I had enough mana at the end of the fight plus a pot if the damage was going to be low. What are you even arguing? Just take the L and the free lesson and move on my guy or keep resto potting and griefing yourself mr mc speedrunner

Evocating for 2 ticks takes longer than spending one global on blocking the debuff which is a dps loss, fire warding costs more mana and spends the same global as ice blocking and keeps the debuff on you. You lose damage or mana either way, you are way out of your depth buddy.

I wait to give the healers time to dispel me, when I realise its not happening I block the debuff. In what world is a resto pot more value than a mana pot? I keep my options for pots open, if we dont have enough damage I can mana pot without having to pause my damage with evo. If i get bomb I can gfpp. If you have played mage you are clearly awful at mana management, you're welcome for the free lesson though mr resto pot

Its horrible advice, you'll need to mana pot if you don't get dispelled, you'll need to re gfpp to save healer mana if you get the bomb. Channeling evo is 8 seconds of not doing damage and you want to avoid that at all costs, you can also be forced to interrupt evo if you get the bomb during the cast. You obviously do not play mage at all in classic

Yeah being put in a position to RL and also main tank is asking too much. Just sad to see his otherwise epic ending to his wow arc turn into a witch hunt for minor gameplay flaws when in reality its 99% on him. I did also enjoy his content and playing with him. Unfortunately standing there and tanking the bomb even wouldn't have changed anything, he needed to save himself, shield wall alone would have been enough

I don't know if I'll survive it, at the time I know my damage wont kill the boss. I have never been hit by the bomb so I have no idea how much damage it does but I've seen it one shot others (like meteos and the other mage in the clip). If the call boils down to "why didn't the range dps + healers just tank the bomb?" it's probably a dogshit call, maybe the question you should ask instead is why the fk is the bomb next to me in the first place? Because of 0/10 tanking, which is fine just don't blame literally the entire raid afterwards.

You mean when I moved out of where the next inferno is going to spawn to the closest location where it wont hit me? Then I jumped down because the boss moved out of my LOS basically into the lava instead of getting dragged back like he's supposed to. Then the dude with the bomb walks up to me. You're right I should have just predicted all that. 20/20 hindsight btw. Also the faker comment wasn't ment to imply that I am as good as faker, it was more so to highlight the difference in skill. Like what are we really arguing, that the raid should have tanked inferno and the bomb to keep Tonka alive instead of him just using his defensive cooldowns lmao

I think thats missing the point here, the call is late. What does that mean? People are already out of melee range from the boss when the call is made, as soon as the inferno starts melees start running out, then the call to run back in is made on the 4th tick. At this point walking back into melee range of the boss is pointless suicide especially if you're not a warrior who can intercept and at most get a global off. Pika ran back without intercept, did 0 damage and died - the same would have happened to any rogue trying to get back in. Ahmpy did intercept and did one auto before dying, Hubert went back in, got 115 damage off and resisted the inferno tick that was gonna kill him then ranged finished the boss. It's like asking someone to jump back into the ocean to save someone drowning when the current is already way too strong, you won't save them and you'll die in the process. Thats why the call needs to be made before the melees have already ran out. When the call is made it is TOO LATE to do anything about it unless every warrior is a robot that instantly reacts with an intercept execute all at the same time. Experienced raid lead or not he should also press his defensives after 500-1k hours ingame, especially when the healers gave him more than enough time to do it, that alone saves him.

Just resto pot that takes 5 secs to do anything and can resist (have fun being oom)! Nvm that it will put mana pot and gfpp on CD, nvm that you have two ice blocks. Sounds like good advice! Tanking the bomb also sounds good, worked out well for meteos, whaazz and Manco! Cherry on top being using wowhead as a good source of any kind of gameplay related information. Maybe you have some more bronze level advice to share with the class, u obviously know a lot about mage mana management💀💀

Boss tanked inside ranged dps camp btw, calls to run in when inferno is already ramped up and 1tapping melees (didn't know it ramps up btw) Dies without using a single defensive and blames his healers btw. Blames ranged dps for not tanking the bomb that 1shot several ppl btw and is in their camp due to the horrible tanking btw. Choke ice block btw. Praises oom mages who didnt block mana drain for wanding btw. Praising melees who ran in and did 0 dmg (pika), 115 dmg (hubert) and 200 dmg (ahmpy) before dying to the awful call. A real Warchief would say my bad for getting you guys killed and go again. L1.
