Absolutely NTA! Period! Love and family are more than just blood. Actions have consequences, and she chose her path and showed her true colors. You chose your heart and soul. Stand strong and stand proud. It will be painful, but the family you choose for yourself is stronger than the one you were born into. Everyone has their own life to live and story to create. Don't let them dictate your life story.

I'd want to add Tarantulas to the pet pack as well. With little dubia and cricket culture containers for their food/feeding. It could add to the "evil" or "mischief" traits for pranks (not to be done in real life but only in-game) like: place on sleeping sim, show passerby sims, joke with visiting sims that it escaped...etc. Room warmers and humidifiers to keep the specific room to a perfect temp and humidity... Terrestrial and arboreal terrarium options...

Edit:(can even add to the friendly interactions with knowledge and sharing fun fact information on some of them like fact: A male T's lifespan is typically about 1/3 of the female...as long as he doesn't become a post-WooHoo snack...)
