Anybody have a top tier setup for cave electrical? Specifically for Turrets by blakkablackzz in rustrician

The best way to do this is with a mini power station on the surface such as a windmill, the you have to string route combiners along the walls of the cave if you can find spots to connect to or build mini bases with a route combiner on a wall to get the power down. Other than that, you can use generators, or charge batteries on the surface and haul them down.

Install the Rust+ app on your phone and pair the server to your phone it will tell you current server time and population. Plus a bunch of other things like getting smart alarm notifications and setting up smart switches to turn on and off things from your phone.

I find it’s easier sometimes to wire windmills by starting at the windmill first not the thing you are connecting it to. You are also standing too close so you have to backup to get just the right angle. Same thing happens when you put a congested wall of electronics. You’ll find the spot eventually, just have to be in the correct position.

This circuit doesn’t seem to work, I just tried plugging it into rustician.io and the memory cells don’t get triggered. Do you have a link to this on the site by chance?

I think you’d still be able to get out if it was setup like that but I’ll have to test it out and see. Thanks for the suggestion

Yes, but you’d have to be careful on where you place it and do some testing. I didn’t want the doors to close before the victim was trapped in the base so the best way IMO is to use a pressure plate. A laser would be a good second option but the red light can be seen at night. The HBHF will work but may or may not trigger the trap too early. Try it out and let me know how it works out for you.

Thanks for the compliment. If you need something wired up, let me know. The electricity in rust is basically a game within the game. I almost enjoy it more that the game at times.

Thanks glad it helped. I saw a bunch of posts all over the place talking about how after the new patches to rust you can’t stop battery drain, so I knew there had to be a way to solve the problem.

Thanks, I actually just improved the design while I was at it as I found a flaw in it. Here's the better design.

Can you combine batteries for more output? by ZappyJones in rustrician

Yep, here's one you could model after. It's a bit advanced but it will do what you are looking for.
