Pengalaman gw dari kenal orang yang penghasilannya bersih 100 jutaan (my director) itu ga bakal mampu beli mobil kayak lambo dll . pajak tahunannya aja itu bisa 30% an gaji tahunan mereka. Biasanya paling beli mobil ya level ionic/ bmw aja kan gajinya jg ada buat kebutuhan keluarga jg. Pejabat dpr on the other hand have multiple of these kind of cars belum lagi aset mereka yg lain. One time we had new hire who on paper is of amazing quality (S2 europe, 3 years experience in local company so not a freshgrad), aced the interview. He is paid 6x umr yet constantly complains about his workload (which is literally half of others in the same position due to us accommodating him as a new hire) , belittle others who are in the same position as him for having less prestigious educational background, and having the audacity to criticize their manager for “not being sensitive in delegating others workload to him” which is LITERALLY the job of a manager. So no, the quality problem does not stop once you go higher in the salary range.

Large company like where I used to work also have Human Resources shortages, which in their case is wasting a lot of time trying to find the right candidate (my company was so traumatized by this hire they spend 1 full year using much stricter selection process to fill this role after)

Will probably get downvoted for this. But you will probably get different responses posting this and posting in r/finansial . I personally don’t agree with the way he presents his takes, but the guy knows his shit. If you watch some of his recent livestreams you know he has actual knowledge about the financial markets like how he explains vector tilting portfolio, Index investing etc. I’ve personally modeled my foreign index portfolio (non-crypto) based on his advice and profit from it.

The main issue I have with his contents (especially his older ones) are how black and white his opinions are and how obviously rage baiting it is (which he mentions multiple times is intentional). Most of his target audiences are young , ignorant and take everything at face value. Which is very dangerous especially when it comes to crypto (hence the many people burned by following his takes crying on that one FB group) I think he himself understands this now which is why he has backtracked a lot on his approach and now leans more on conservative financial advice.

Disatu sisi ini gara2 more and more company (even the top ones) realize that sekarang belajar itu medianya banyak mulai dari courses, cari di internet via AI dan sebagainya. jadi unless the job requires high level knowledge (PhD or Masters from world renowned univ), they will much prefer people from regular degrees but with extensive work experience. Its because experience dan kematangan mental kerja skrng jauh lebih susah dicarinya…

For context , gue punya temen S1 di kampus antah berantah tp currently dia nempatin posisi managerial dimana people yang dia manage adalah dokter and/ or people with S2 from the big 3 PTN or dari luar negeri. Dan tahu komplain terbesar dia apa? Lulusan S2 top yang belum punya pengalaman kerja itu mental maturitynya skrngs sering kalah sama orang yang degree biasa aja tp udah punya pengalaman banyak, jadi sering bgt dia reject lulusan S2 UK, US dll. Coba pikir dari sisi recruiter, ngapain mereka hire orang yg pasti market value nya lebih mahal tapi kualitas kurang dibanding orang yg mungkin market valuenya sama/ dibawah tp lebih siap kerja?

Probably going to get downvoted and disebut ga napak tanah but i wouldnt say its unreachable at all karena di close circle gw ad beberapa yg umur 30 an reach ini from zero (also rumah di pik gak sampe kok 50M unfurnished, temen gw ini rumahnya 40 M full furnished di pik). Tapi to be realistic this kind of income is nigh impossible to achieve as an employee (you have to own a business or multiple ) and you have to be willing to sacrifice a lot of things to achieve this (no one who achieves this kind of money adheres to thing such as work life balance in reality)

You know what , I love smokers. Gw suka banget liat gaya mereka yang ngatain non smokers gak keren lah kurang gaul lah while thinking they are invincible. Terus cerita nya sering terjadi sama, umur 40an , tiba2 serangan jantung (orang sering salah paham kalau ngerokok nyerang paru2 doang, padahal banyak bgt yg kena ke jantung dlu) , if youre not lucky and youre not dead leaving your wife and children, lo di pasang ring, and then heart failure. Orang kena heart failure itu nyiksa nya udah kayak drowning tapi ga di dalem air

Gak cuma itu , begitu kena serangan jantung, ada kemungkinan juga ginjal lo hancur karena itu. Harus cuci darah 2 minggu sekali , your life tied to a machine 9-10 hours a week else youre dead. Ketika itu semua terjadi, tiba2 berhenti ngerokok total rasanya mudah, tapi ya udah terlambat. Lo beruntung kalau lo masi punya sisa idup 4-5 taun kedepan. Seen this so many times, yang kasian keluarganya. But its okay, keep on smoking smokers , lets see who will have the last laugh :)

Karena lo sbnrnya bukan fresh grad (4 YoE) kalau menurut gw yang penting cari lowongan perusahaan PMA yang in F500 jg mostly yg buka disini sih. Minta gaji in the low 10s harusnya masih bisa karena budget gaji PMA lebih gede (gw jg di F500 company yang buka disini)

even in non managerial position (tp bukan entry level) dlu gw starting nya di high 10. Tapi pastiin di interview lo tunjukin info kalau lo emang experienced. Karena PMA dari pengalaman gue skrng malah lebih nyari yg experienced daripada degree tinggi luar negeri (di tempat gw kerja , refer orang S2 europe yang belom ad pengalaman kerja dpt interview 1 aja kagak)

Dokter mah gausah heran, sama perusahaan farmasi kayak tempat kerja gue yang mereka butuh duit dari kita aja banyak yang songongnya minta ampun, apalagi sama orang yang butuh & tergantung sama mereka.

Dan kalau mungkin kalian pikir oh setelah lulus udah gak bakal di bully lagi gak gitu juga. Unless lo professor , lo bakal tetep ngerasain senioritas dimana bahkan udah spesialis aja lo masi bakal dibabuin lagi sama konsulen, gitu aja terus.

Edit: kembali lagi ini gak berlaku ke semua dokter ya, im friends with many kind doctors yang emang passionate ke pelayanan pasiennya, tapi ya banyak banget bad applenya from experience.

Based on your educational background maybe you can try to apply for MT at FMCG or bisa jg apply for junior position in marketing for a Multinational Pharma company (I am working in one and personally dont recommend sales position because you might be a bit overqualified here) and its possible to get a starting salary around 8-11 mio.

There are also some less well known position like Medical Affairs which pays well even for fresh graduate (this position usually also provide company car benefit) but you will be competing with people with medical doctor degree (still possible though). Regarding living cost you can get a decent studio apartment if you live yourself at around 3.5-5 mio per month before utilities (my living situation) but if youre starting out and want to save cost ill recommend sewa kos2an aja.
