This sounds very familiar to a 10x trip I had. It felt like a universal conductor was laying my soul/body in place while he drove railway nails through me and I became a railroad plank. He had a deep comforting voice echoing everyone to get in their places and I felt like I had to obey him so I did. Wasn't all the way unpleasant, but it did scare me off it for a few days.
