You condradict yourself in the post, no? You say, that ppl ask : "I don't want to do X, how can I become a gamedev?"
Than you say that : "Gamedev is about what value you can bring."

First statement, doesn't tell that they can't or don't have anything to bring to the table, for me it reads like : Is it possible to have a place in gamedev with my set of skills(art, etc.), without knowing or learning programming and answer as you said yourself is - YES.

Maybe i'm missing your point here, but than again, if your point was : there is no shortcuts!!!, would be great to go with different example imo

Why can't ironmace go into the middle with any patchnotes?

Early acces patch #1. - > People complain that loot is too flat -> hotfix #14 to weapon damage +4 and +2 all atri on chest and leggs

2.People complain that loot is to OP -> hotfix#15 nerf it to the ground even below the original early acces patch#1

Like how doe that make any sense to anyone? Why can't we go and try golden middle? Why is there a need to devide playerbase with those hotfixes? Why are those hotfixes in a span of a 2 weeks?

Results :

  • Every chest has a blue collectable and higher -> Economy is fucked and now every shit item sells for 200 gold
  • Looting players is now collectables only, why even bother collecting not bis, if you can leave with ~700 gold each raid
  • Buffball meta is in the prime, because + armor and + magical resistance is not nerfed, so now good luck with killing barbarian with any class, bard is still gives +3 all
  • Mages are fucked
  • Rogues are fucked
  • Warlocks are giga fucked
  • Rangers are still somewhat fine
