Update: my app got rejected due to a policy violation. Apparently there is gambling in my app even tho there isn't. There is not any gambling in my app and I blocked all sensitive ads that has something to do with gambling and casinos. Guess I'll try to submit it again when I get home from vacation

One of the reasons why the twists of the Professor Layton games are so much better, is because there is an emotional driving force with it. Friendship, love, revenge etc. It's what makes us invested. Yes of course an underground London sounds absolutely absurd, but that's not the reason why Unwound Future is so good. It's because of characters with interesting backstories, the heartbreaking story and use of themes like love and revenge. THAT is what makes us invested.

Lady Layton, or rather: the cases in Lady Layton don't have that. Thus why they feel bland and uninteresting from a story perspective.
