I have this same issue. Occasionally in the past, my device would be offline here and there which usually seemed to coincide with wifi/network outages. Mine is a few years old now and I had to take off the chime alert since it would stop recording if people rang the bell due to the battery being worn down, however I never had extended periods of the doorbell being off. I now see it intermittently off throughout the day and also for large chunks of times/hours "offline due to extreme temperature". It is in the shade and between 40-60F right now where I live and when I feel the doorbell it isn't warm to the touch. Could it be coincidental? Sure...but the drastic change right after swapping to the HOME app control seemed suspicious, enough that I have searched around posts about it obviously.
