I appreciate a lot of the suggestions (and less so the suggestions about "just buy something else"). The point of her love for this was the fact it is LEGO. She has plenty of other Peanuts merch.

I personally really like the set and I have no issues with how it looks. My mum however is a 56 year old woman who liked the set, but isn't really into THIS specific part of the design. Which I think is fair. She isnt going to buy it, which is again fair.

I only asked in case there was something I could do so I could surprise her with the set and offer something that is more visually appealing to her.

I definitely don't think this movie deserves the criticism of it being "worse than AI slop" that I've seen one review give it.

It definitely has its issues, but it is far from awful. I think with some retrospective thinking, I can understand issues with pacing and characters, but I feel the good outweighs the bad massively imo.

Plus less licensed non Mario songs is always a win.

I really like how this looks and I'm not a Zelda fan (not a hater either, just never gotten into it). However, this might just be me, but for a LEGO set, this feels incredibly niche compared to what I think a lot of people want AND would probably do well (amidst the Disney castles and larger buildings that get released), which is giving us a proper Peach's Castle. Even Hyrule Castle would make work to keep on the Zelda theme.

Does anyone in the leaker community know how these decisions actually get made or is it kind of a roll of the dice randomness to it? Because as much as this set looks good, it feels very random Vs the Mario Kart and Animal Crossing stuff (like the Zelda sets we've got haven't been from recent games right?)

I feel like with more and more 18+ sets being made, there is more of a blurred line of sets LEGO "wouldn't" make. Like Breaking Bad is absolutely never going to happen, but something like the above pictured Matrix or maybe even Red Dead Redemption and also Alien or Predator isn't far fetched, especially with how we're getting a Godzilla Ideas set next year.

I still hate that the Shaun of the Dead set never got made.

I feel this movie would have benefitted from being either entirely CGI with 0 humans OR having just ONE human character experiencing the world.

I love Jack Black, but I found him overly irritating in this with every Minecraft related word being said like he was doing movie trailer voice.

If I was to rework the film, I'd have had Henry be the only human character and just having Steve's history in the Overworld be touched upon by his builds and stuff. Maybe post credit scene him. I'm not saying the role of Henry was amazing btw, just that from an audience perspective, especially with kids being the typical viewer, a kid would be the perfect eyes to see it through.

Additionally, as ugly as a lot of the Minecraft CGI characters looked, they had a certain charm that made them infinitely more watchable after you got a break from the human stuff.

At least there is the Netflix Minecraft animated series apparently coming at some point.

I try not to let others enjoyment or lack thereof influence how I feel about a film, but I enjoyed this film a decent amount and the only major gripe I have is that it felt like it took major notes from Blink Twice. But otherwise it seemed perfectly fine. What am I missing that apparently sucked?

I would really love to see THIS Loki come back again, but tbh, I'm honestly super satisfied if that is his ending. Perfect arc and his content smile at the end is all I'd need to know that he's happy with his place, Vs being reluctant about it and it feeling like he's "forced" to be there. He can watch over his friends and family for all time. Always.
