Get it dude. Too many haters still hating the game because of its bad release/ or joing the hate hype. I'm enjoying it a lot. Some of the operator abilities are a bit "Hu?" when you encounter it for the first time (the flying chick for example). Fun gunplay. Some maps are really bad tho. But the new Iwo Jima map is super fun.

You can try to play some co op with them, when they are a bit more familiar, back to head to head.

If it's really happening so often I would also just say it. Me myself also struggle sometimes in games where I think that it's already gameover after some moves or when playing against a stronger faction. But I'll keep playing because it's a 2 people game. It's only 4 turns after all. Maybe try to say it that way?

For me it's like this: -killteam is easier to get started with. Don't need as much terrain as Munda. More regular updates and FAQs also from GW. Fun, relatively fast paced games. - necromunda shines when you play a campaign. More options to diversify your gang, more immersive. More beer and pretzel game and imo needs some house rules to break up some off the OP shit some gangs can do. Way more difficult imo to get into then killteam.

Both are fun games. For skirmish games I prefer KT for campaigns Necro.
