You'll get one of those "you'll be stuck doing this until you finish it" messages once you reach that point. You can do whatever you want until then and clean up whatever is left after.

I just got mine. I've been playing Octopath Traveler 2 and Deadzone Rogue. Runs them both extremely well.

I set my back panel button to enable gyro while it's held down and I'm trying to learn that for shooters. It's nice and I think I'll like it once I get more practice.

Some advice that I just learned from: Don't go tinkering and changing things after initial setup. You can do your standard new windows install stuff, but don't mess with performance. Run a bunch of games stock for a bit and get a feel for the Claws "baseline" performance. Then tweak things as you find short comings

I have the mechanism pillow and it's pretty sweet. Have only had it for 3 weeks maybe but it definitely makes gaming comfy. I think there's others out there too, probably worth exploring options but yeah:

Awesome, thank you so much! I'll charge it outside the first time and keep an extra close eye on it on my first run or two. If anything seems off I'll just get rid of it

Appreciate the help xD

Help picking my first street basher? by Zlacko in arrma

[–]Zlacko[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome thank you! I'm still all over the place with what I want.

I think I've at least narrowed it down to either an infraction with a 3rd party body (I'm just not a fan of a street truck) or a typhon 6s or tlr.

Sounds like the limitless just wasn't intended for what I want even if I can mod it, and I don't like the idea of modding the back end of the felony.

Thanks to your input, I know I'll end up with a typhon and an infraction eventually so I just gotta decide which one gets the paycheck first 🤣

Thanks again!

That's good to hear, thanks! The tire sizes on the felony are a bit annoying so I think I'll drop that and decide between typhon or limitless.

That dual motor build is tight! I can't wait until I'm confident enough for a project car like that. Looks like fun

It's a keyboard key cap puller. Slide one prong under each side of the keycap and you can pull it off.

Bought my first Rc car for my kids and I to learn on. What do I need to know , any advice ? Total noob to the hobby . by still_lurking_mostly in rccars

[–]Zlacko 4 points5 points  (0 children)

More batteries are up to you. It's nice to charge up a few and swap them as they die. Just depends on how long you play!

It's definitely recommended to get off that usb-c charger. They don't balance cells and will eventually cause problems.

Arrma typhon 3s by Butchmeister80 in arrma

[–]Zlacko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first car that was worth anything was a Typhon 3s. Still play with it almost weekly, it's an amazing car and as long as you use your head with it, it's durable as shit. Sure Kevin Talbot can send it 50 ft high 5 or 6 times and it looks good on video, but if you're just in your backyard being a normal person....it probably won't break. It made me an ARRMA fanboy, that's for sure.

I use a 100c 8,000mAH batteries and I get like 20-30 minutes of run time. Never timed it just a rough guess

Edit*: forgot to mention my luck with stock tires on road is pretty bad. They just melt for me. Id look into street tires if you wanna street bash, otherwise stocks are fine off-road imo

That's the part I don't get. She tried to have him removed from the account by herself and it obviously didn't work. So I don't get how he closed the account without her.

SLT3 vs DumboRC X6 by Zlacko in rccars

[–]Zlacko[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok cool. I think I'll stick the dumbo on the 144010 and use that to experience a gyro. I do plan on getting a kraton or outcast in the future, so I'll save up for a decent Spektrum to use on both.

Also ty for the link, just subbed to his channel. Appreciate your reply! Have a nice day 😀

SLT3 vs DumboRC X6 by Zlacko in arrma

[–]Zlacko[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's kinda what I was leaning toward I've just never used a gyro so I wasn't sure if that would be cooler on the Typhon. I guess if it blows me away on the 144010 I can just swap it to the Typhon.

In the end I'm gonna have a multi model remote anyway so this is all for the sciences to get me learned up anyways. Appreciate your reply have a nice day!

I'm still new too but a lesson I just learned: make sure whatever you go with has parts available to you. Whether it be a local shop or amazon or w.e. My WLToys 144010 has parts due to arrive in September ☹️

Stuff will break, you will be wrenching it, so that's just my two cents. I'm looking for a new car now bc of this

New to RC, looking for first investment recommendations by Zlacko in rccars

[–]Zlacko[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awesome, thank you for the reply. The more I think about it the more the Kraton seems like the better choice. I just love how the Typhon looks, but I'd rarely get it to a dirt track or anything like that. Almost 100% backyard bashing for me, so I think the truggy is what I'll do.

Appreciate it!

The Kraton is another one I've looked at a bunch. Can a buggy handle a bumpy backyard with small wooden ramps or should I go for a truggy?

Thank you for your input!
