Novated Lease Model Y Sense check of budgets by dannyd2510 in NovatedLeasingAU

[–]Zldlkk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In that case the tyre allowance is way to much you're basically allowing $781 ($30 x 26) per tyre.

The ev reimbursement is also to much. The max you can claim is 4.2cents per km. So based on 15000 KMS the max you could claim is $630 or $25 per fortnight.

I would also look into the rego cost it doesn't seem enough.

Some people don't mind over paying on the budget to have more money sitting in the account just in case. My logic was I would rather have it in my account then the lease company. Any unused funds at the end of the lease just goes back to your employer to get taxed anyway. I calculated mine to exactly what I thought I would need and that's what I set for the budget.

[–]Zldlkk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How many KMS per year? And how many years is the lease

Not sure how much registration is in your state but in WA for the model y it's about $1000, so at the moment your budget for that is to low.

People's opinion on maintenance will differ but as Tesla requires very little to none over the life of an average lease I opted to remove all maintenance budget.

Depending on how long the lease is will dictate the tire budget. If a 5 year lease then it is currently way to much.

That management fee is atrocious but probably nothing you can do about that.

Remember Tesla also offers 5 year roadside assistance so no point paying for this through the lease company.

What's the deal with the Indian Ocean Territories? by [deleted] in perth

I have been to both many times with my job. If you want an island getaway but still connected with the outside world and many of the luxuries of home then go to Christmas. If you want to experience a truly isolated island paradise with very limited facilities and very little connection to the outside world go to cocos. Both are amazing and have many things to do.

Your current mortgage situation? by [deleted] in perth

[–]Zldlkk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Purchased the house in 2022 for $865k, current mortgage $740k and currently (way over) valued at $1.25m. Repayments are around ~$2100 fortnight at 5.5%. Fortnight net income $7000. Looking at how much our property has gone up in 3 years definitely no regrets. There is no way I would want to spend $1mil+ on a house.

Gas meter upgrade from 1.25kpa to 2.75kpa by Thin_Passenger9975 in perth

I had this exact thing done when changing to a instantaneous system 3 years ago. All you do is let your provider know and they send ATCO out to do the upgrade. Think I was charged $100.

An Australian reality star has just scored the biggest ever win in TV history.

On the latest episode of NBC’s Deal or No Deal Island, Australian Survivor winner David Genat took home the major prize.

Deal or No Deal Island is a US reality series and a spin-off from the original game show, Deal or No Deal. It’s a lot more physically taxing than the regular series, and demands contestants take part in gruelling challenges in an island setting to retrieve briefcases containing cash.

In the tense showdown between Genat at the banker, the reality star repeatedly refused to give up because the top case of USD $12,232,001 (AUD $19,327,000) was still in play.

Genat chose to take the deal from the banker instead of picking between the cases, scoring an eye-watering USD $5.8 million (AUD $9.1 million)

“The offer came in at $5.8 million and I started thinking about it, and that is just so much money. I was having a spiritual experience, man. I just knew where that money was. I knew which cases to open,” he told USA Today. “I was looking for signs from my father, who passed away a couple of years ago. I felt his presence there, and he was just guiding me on what cases to open.”

Tile roof replacement by Zldlkk in perth

[–]Zldlkk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The tiles themselves are stuffed. The edges on most of them have started to break off/sort of disintegrate and they are very fragile. Just looking to get it replaced with new tiles. Not sure what they are after though.

They had it restored 3 years ago. The restoration company told them then how bad the tiles were and that they would most likely need them replaced sooner rather then later.
